It is true not all movies in the great movie ride were or are MGM pictures, Indiana jones is Paramount Pictures, Aleins is 20th Centery Fox. So changing the name of the park probably doesn't hurt the ride at all. The name change might have to do with sony entertainment buying out MGM/UA Picture...
