Disney Plus Now Embedded Into Resort TV’s

As somebody who is kind of involved in streaming services and authentication, if it was not set up from the start to accommodate something like bulk "free" logins, it is not that easy to implement after the fact. I would have thought that D+ did think of this at the start, but maybe they did not.

What Are Your FAVORITE In Park Meetable Characters and experiences with them?

During the first F&W half marathon, Darth Vader was pretty cool. Mainly because of his whole towering over people and staring down at them routine that he was doing to runners that stopped to see him. I'm 6'4" - it didn't work with me. :-)

First Timer - Hotel Suggestions for Cruise Eve (Florida)

When I did so, I stayed at the Comfort Inn, which fits your description - nothing fancy. I believe my review was "serviceable" Did a quick search though, and it looks like there is no longer a Comfort Inn in Port Canaveral.

    Prices up…profits down…

I did experience the one line system, and it did work as you described. I also experienced the old FP system, and it was pretty good as well. Not only were there a limited number of fast passes per attraction per day, but you could only hold one fast pass at a time (sort of, there were ways to...

    Prices up…profits down…

I feel the same way. I am lucky that I no longer have to actively save for a trip. We save for a vacation in general, but it is no long something like watching every dime so we could do to WDW. But when I was saving for a trip, I didn't feel like I was being robbed once I got there. Sure...

    Prices up…profits down…

Do you mean the food at Blue Lagoon, or the food in Iceland in general? Blue Lagoon is nice, but it is a tourist trap. There are plenty of other thermal baths that are less commercial than Blue Lagoon. There is also plenty of excellent meals to be had in Iceland.

    Prices up…profits down…

    This is my new catchphrase.

    Prices up…profits down…

I 100% agree. I have told this story multiple times before. When I first started going to WDW, it took up a much larger chunk of my disposable income, but I did so because I enjoyed it because the VALUE was there. Now, even at current prices, WDW takes a much smaller portion of my disposable...

    Prices up…profits down…

Boiled down into 3 points 1. People who had money because they did not travel during the pandemic have spent that money. 2. The people who want to go to Disney Parks as a regular vacation do not have the money to do so. 3. The people who can afford to go to Disney Parks are more likely to do...

    Annual Dues posted for 2025

Aside from what I believe is a cap on what can be raised in a single year, there is no cap, and there never will be. Dues reflect the costs of the resort you own at, period. There is no profit or wiggle room or anything else that goes into them. In essence they add of the costs of all...

    Saratoga Springs on Dvc points

Everything except Carousel has its "own" pool. Grandstand does have a pool bar, if that is what you are looking for. Grandstand is also kind of removed from the Carriage House. Carousel is really the only location that I find really far. Everything else is just "kinda" far. In December it...

New Disney Vacation Club Member Lounge coming to Walt Disney World

You can say they should have never been shut down, but they were. And not to make them a lounge. They were shut down for other reasons. Then it became a case of they were not being used for anything (other than perhaps storage). So DVC paid (yes, DVC paid, not WDW. The money for...

    TWO RESTAURANTS GOING DOWNHILL

Did you read the OPs post? In addition to the price, he mention that a server was "going though the motions" that the restaurant was comparable to eating at a wedding, the restaurant was "totally homogenized" and lacking in "character and vibe" and a steak "arrived room temperature" All of...

    Music that moves you

On the subject of remakes of Disney songs that I really like - this one is on a regular playlist rotation in my house

    Music that moves you

The background music they used to play in EPCOT over by The Seas behind Innoventions. No idea why, but for some reason that is WDW for me. Also, Welcome Home from the AT053 Magestic Symphony, which the NY Yankees use for all of their ticket spots on the radio reminds me of WDW every time I...

    TWO RESTAURANTS GOING DOWNHILL

In a word, no. If the prices are that high, you expect a level of food, service, and ambiance. It is not as if the website says the food is going to be sub par, the staff not familiar with the menu and, for a special this evening we have a screaming 5 year old being ignored by their parents in...

News New Orlando International Airport App and Website Aims to Improve Disney World Travel Experience

Ugh, turn by turn navigation on an app. This mean more people walking around with their heads down at a snails pace, crashing into me. Maps on an app are fine. But the turn by turn stuff tends to lead to people not paying attention. Improved wayfinding signs are my choice. Also, they are...

News Tiana's New Year's Adventure at California Grill ($799)

For that price, my wife and I could fly to New Orleans for the weekend. I'm sure there are people who will pay that price, and Disney will make money, but not from me.
