    Park Closures, Any Closer?

We were at MK on the first and second anniv after 9-11. MK would close at 5 or 6pm every night except for one or two to show Fantasy in the Sky at 7pm and then close right after. Spectromagic was not even shown on our entire 1 week stay. That is also when extra magic hours were cut. World...

AK : Yak & Yeti or Tusker House

We ate at Yak & Yeti last month for the first time. We were very excited about dining there for the first time. The food was OK, but the service was the most horrible that we have ever received while at WDW. So bad I actually complained at AK guest relations. We have been to WDW 10 times since...

    Bounce back Offers????

Has anyone heard if bounce back offers for 2009 free dining are being left in resort rooms yet this year?

    Water bottle filters

Those are the exact bottles we used. They worked great! No nasty swamp water taste at all.

    Water bottle filters

Target & Amazon We purchased bio-degradable plastic(esq) bottles off amazon.com that had filters built in. They worked great. You would have never known the bottles were made from corn as they were sturdier than actual plastic in my opinion. We were constantly throwing them in my backpack and...

    Free Dining Preview Thread

Just got off the phone with CRO. We have a bounceback for this Sept and are trying to switch resorts on the bounceback. We want to go from POFQ to AKL. There are no rooms available at AKL to switch to b/c all the rooms alloted under the bounceback are used up at AKL. However, the rep told us to...

Kill me now ... Second guessing myself!

You only live once. Go for it. If money is not an issue and you already have it paid in full, then just sit back and enjoy the waves of Seven Seas Lagoon lapping the shores of the Poly and forget about it......

    Riverside or French Quarter

The boat starts running to DD at 11am, before then you have to take the buses which run from 9am until 2am. The boat is nice, but if there is the threat of rain, thunder or lightning the boat will stop running and you have to rely on the bus. The bus service is very quick.

    Riverside or French Quarter

FQ Rocks. Riverside just seems like everything is a far walk away. Plus during the busier times you may get stuck standing on the buses to the parks if all the seats get filled at FQ first. We liked FQ the best out of any resort we have stayed at which are Poly, Contemp, ASMo, Coronado and POP.

    Free Dining 2008

We just checked out on Sun the 23rd. They are still handing them out but you had to take advantage of the offer before your check out or by September 28, whichever came first. Hope that helps. Not sure if they will extend the offer dates or not. I wouldn't worry if they are not offering the...

    Trying to Decide

We stayed at POP for 3 years in a row, and stayed the Poly and the Contemp before that. This year we chose POFQ. After staying at a moderate I will never stay at a Value again. For 30% more, the moderates are definitely worth it. POFQ was so much more quiet than POP, no long lines for buses...

    Thoughts on the French Quarter

Forgot to mention in the previous post, we liked FQ so much we already booked our next trip in 2008 and will stay at FQ. It also didn't hurt that we received free dining again since we booked before checking out from our current trip.

    Thoughts on the French Quarter

Just got back from our first trip to FQ yesterday. Stayed for 10 days. So far our favorite resort. We have stayed before at POP, Contemp, Poly, ASMo and Coronado. Loved FQ, it is small in size so everything is close no matter what building you room is in. Mousekeeping was great. The food court...

    Leaving for the Airport

Leaving for the airport in 2 hours for 10 great days at WDW! Can't wait. A big hello to anyone else who will be at Mickey's House while we're there! Thanks to everyone on the boards for helping build our anticipation all summer long. :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

    I have a few gripes!!!!

I completely agree that it is not the safest thing in the world for someone holding a child to be standing while the bus is in motion. I have no problem standing and offering my seat to someone who could use it more. After a few years of working NYC and constantly standing on the subway in the...

    I have a few gripes!!!!

Here we go again with the "because I am with child, I am more entitled than to those at Disney who do not." Re the bus stop locations: Seriously, after walking upwards of 16 miles a day in the parks I really doubt that the extra 200 steps from the Beach Club's stop to POP's persay would have...

    Stressed before trip?

We are leaving in 4 days. Between now and then, we are having a new roof put on our house tomorrow, have to help my mother who has never been to WDW or flown in 40 years finish packing (the whole TSA regulations on the 1-3-3 thing has her completely confused). We also have to finish packing...

    World's Showcase Accessibility Before Opening?

Even though all of WS does not open until 11AM, you will be able to use the Intl Gateway entrance. CMs will just steer you clear of venturing beyond the bridge that crosses over towards France after the UK pavilion.

My resort is booked! Please help!

Try calling CRO. I have heard the if you look up rooms on wdw.com, they will steer you towards resorts that need some help with reservations because they are not near capacity. If you call and get a live human that can work around the suggestions the computers are giving based on capacity...
