What is the best time of Spring to Visit

Absolutely go for a monorail hotel if you can. The great thing about it if you're going to spend a lot of time at MK is that you can easily head back to the room for a midday nap and then get back to the park quickly. Even going to/from Epcot is much easier. We did it when our son was about...

    Fireworks/Spectro Show Times??

I would be thrilled if someone could tell me where to find fireworks and parade times on the disneyworld.com site. It used to be right there on the calendar pages, but now all I can see are the open and close times.

Day 3 - Yacht Club 11/25 to 11/30 Lots of pics!!

Great pics! This is my favorite time to read trip reports - as I get close to an upcoming trip, and yours is great. I especially enjoyed all your comments. I'm getting excited!

Have you ever been in the spotlight in the Laugh Floor

I was Mike W, too. I remember I kept closing one eye every time they put me on camera. It was a lot of fun!

    Contemporary Garden Wing Rooms.

I liked the garden wing, because we were right near the water and at night the water pageant (I forget the actual name) comes right by. It seems like it's no more than 50 yards from you. This was very cool.

How crowded is the last week of Epcot Food & Wine

Two of the last 3 years we have made trips spanning the last few days of October into the first few days of November. I would say Epcot is still crowded, quite a bit more so than September crowds, but still not nearly as bad as peak times. We hit Epcot on two different days in '07, and I never...

    Mousekeeping?

I have always just left cash on one of the pillows after we throw the bed together on our way out the door. That has always worked fine - it's unmistakable.

Thinking about splurging for Concierge Level.

I actually got a free upgrade when the hotel was busy, but it was extremely lucky. We had booked a non-smoking room at WL but they gave us a smoking room by mistake. It was late on a Saturday when we checked in, so the place was full, and they upgraded us to concierge for the week. It was...

    Six days to go!

    9 days for us...I can't wait!

    Fantasmic Package:

We did it in October '05, and we're booked for it again in October '07. My kids loved the H&V buffet, and I thought it had pretty good selection. The main reason we do it is to cut our wait time for Fantasmic, of course, but the buffet is a pretty good value, too. I think it's a "win-win!"

The Official 2007 October Role Call

The crowds are much lighter than summer, but still somewhat busy. You will still need to use some fastpasses, for example. In October '05, it seems like Soarin' averaged 30-45 minutes for standby, but of course it was pretty new then. We went once in September, and could basically walk on to...

The Official 2007 October Role Call

We're from Charlotte, too, and going the exact same dates as you! We're doing MNSSHP on 10/30. This is basically the same trip we did 2 years ago. It's my favorite time of year to go. Closing in on 100 days!

    MNSSHP tickets

You can buy them on the disneyworld.com website. Go to "Tickets and Passes" and then "Special Events Tickets."

    Treehouse refurb?

I never even knew the treehouse existed until my last trip there, and I didn't have the slightest interest in it once I found out about it. My daughter was 8 and my son was 5 at the time, and even at that age he was a serious gamer (now even more so). The two of them were so excited about it...

    Electrical Water Pageant

We stayed in the south garden wing of the Contemporary once, and I thought that was an excellent place to watch it from. We stepped outside when we heard it, and it seemed like it was very close to us. I didn't even know about it in advance, so it was a great surprise.

    Cleaning Pressed Pennies

I'll second the pencil eraser idea. I've done it, and it works surprisingly well. It's much gentler on the penny, too.

Help I think I made a big planning mistake

We went 10/28/05 - 11/4/05, and it was more crowded than September, but not nearly as crowded as the summer. The only real complaint I had was that it was too cool for us to go to Typhoon Lagoon for the day. We did spend some time in the hotel pool, but not a lot, because it was only around...

    getting stuck on a ride

I honestly only remember it happening once at WDW, and it turned out to be a great experience. Rain was coming, and I tried to sneak in a Test Track ride before it started. We got almost to the outside doors before the rain shut it down. I didn't realize it, but we were pretty much at the...

    Fantasmic Dinner Package "Preferred" Seating?

It varies from person to person whether it's worth it, but to me it definitely is. I hate sitting in the theater for an hour or more to wait for a show, so the big benefit to me is getting there later. As for the location of the seats, I honestly don't think it matters where you sit - all...
