WDW's Space Mountain is REALLY bad

Space Mountain is just as crazy as it’s ever been. Coasters from 1975 kind of feel like that. I’m not sure what you’re expecting…. It’s never been smooth at least in the 20 + years I’ve been riding. Guardians is awesome and I’m sorry, just my opinion, but anyone that complains about it is just...

Beach Club during Holidays - thoughts?

Beach Club is awesome all around. Personally, it suits me far more than Animal Kingdom Lodge. Walk into Epcot. Boat or walk to Studios. Best pool anywhere. Walk around boardwalk at night. Balconies! Beach looks great at Christmas and so does Yacht next door. Awesome gingerbread displays.

    Room Security Checks

I've been at Disney hotels, all levels, a lot over the past two years and haven't had that issue at all. Value and Moderate is supposed to be every other day. Deluxe is every day. That's been pretty consistent as far as I can tell.

    Room Security Checks

Only once in the last few years has anyone in my family actually seen the room checked. My son wasn't feeling great and stayed back to relax in the room and they came knocking. Between the five of us, there have probably been a dozen resort stays in the last few years and we only encountered it...

What is the best ride you have ever been on?

Peter Pan affects the kid in me more than anything else. But Rise of the Resistance has to be the best attraction experience I've ever been on, with Guardians a close second.

    Yacht club vs contemporary

Yeah. The incredibles thing is WAY too much. I thought one or two touches would have been just fine but it’s just too much - the gauzy window curtains with the heads of the Incredibles was the tipping point for me. See the Mary Poppins theme over at the Grand Floridian for a prime example of...

Places to see Happily Ever After projections that aren't in the midst of the crowd

Just watched from the train station a few weeks ago. Good for fireworks. Projections are visible but only if it’s terribly obvious, like the Tangled lanterns or the Up balloons. That could also be my old eyes talking!! They also don’t shut off the train platform lights or at least they didn’t...

    Number 1 resort

Yacht Club is by far our favorite anywhere on property for a long list of wonderful reasons!

POFQ refurbishments for some rooms starting soon:

Love this resort! I so hope they don't go overboard with some sort of Princess and The Frog or other character theme. Some times they do a nice subtle job with this like the Mary Poppins details at the Grand Floridian but other times, in my opinion at least, it's just too much - like the...

    Yacht club vs contemporary

We've stayed at both and would choose The Yacht Club any day over the Contemporary. The whole vibe of the Yacht Club - actually the whole Crescent Lake area - is far more enjoyable, to us at least. My wife runs, so her morning run around the lake and over to the Studios is a key thing for her...

    Ale & Compass

We've never had a bad meal or bad experience at Ale & Compass. Even went there for Thanksgiving dinner this year. The seafood pot pie is delicious. So is the flatbread, truffle fries, protein bowl and the delicious rolls! If you're a grown-up drinker, try the Maple Old Fashioned.
