    New Imagineer Introduction Thread

Hi all! I'm not sure if I ever actually posted in this thread before or not.. I have always enjoyed creativity and have been a long-time lurker of everyone else's amazing projects on here. I always wanted to be an imagineer as a kid but alas my talent has never really been in the physical...

Entry and Avenue du Triomphe - Area Music Please enjoy some area music - this would play in the entry courtyard prior to entering the park, and inside the entry land 'Avenue du Triomphe'.

    Disney's Lands of Imagination

Thank you! I hope you enjoy the idea 😄 --- *Disclaimer: this project utilises the use of AI technology to produce conceptual-based images for which certain areas of the park are either loosely or closely based on. This project is for fun and not to be taken seriously. If you have any...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I am not sure - I know Jim Shull had some strong opinions on X about the parks imagineering. I'd probably guess the more corporate side of the business had a strong arm around the entire project, but I don't really know all too much other than what is probably common knowledge anyways. I agree...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

On the other hand, I was, and actually visited the year it opened. The ride lineup was Rock'n'Rollercoaster and the carpets. That's it. There was also a tram tour which felt like a bus ride through the forest (aside from the excellent Catastrophe Canyon) and Armageddon, which was akin to...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Cinémagique/Cinémagine/Cinémagination Parc would have been a better pick, imo. Plus would have given a lovely bit of nostalgia and love for the old show, with a bit of French flair. Including 'World' just seems confusing to me, and 'Adventure' is such a nondescript term in the industry now...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Although I wish they had opted to open the expansion with more than 1 land to begin with, and certainly had my reservations initially... this potential long-term plan for the studios sounds great to me. The studios were so dire (albeit miles ahead of when we went the year it opened!) when we...

Disneyland Paris 8th Jan-11th Jan Trip report, thoughts and criticisms

It was very frustrating for sure. I remember it being a big problem during my last visit too. Maybe we were just unfortunate with the times travelling to/from the parks. We spoke to a Scottish lady and her husband when in Starbucks who were also annoyed with it.

Disneyland Paris 8th Jan-11th Jan Trip report, thoughts and criticisms

Yes - In the gardens out the front of the Disneyland Hotel (we were stopped twice here), the section just outside of World of Disney, and outside of where Planet Hollywood used to be. It was worse when there was a large influx of foot traffic, so in the mornings and in the evenings when the...

WDS - 3rd expansion land: Lion King (Rumour)

I think the design challenges are what makes the Lion King idea more exciting for me - how will imagineering overcome this and tell the story of the land? The challenge is what makes room for innovation and creative exploration.

Disneyland Paris 8th Jan-11th Jan Trip report, thoughts and criticisms

That's welcome news! I didn't get a chance to eat at Brasserie Rosalie unfortunately but the design was definitely nicer. Much better than the dated metal panelling. It's a difficult balance for Disney in regards to ASB and the like. Unfortunately it does have an impact on the experience...

WDS - 3rd expansion land: Lion King (Rumour)

That's if they even go ahead with it, weren't they (Disney) in a similar situation in Hong Kong and they let it lapse, losing the future expansion land for a 2nd park?

WDS - 3rd expansion land: Lion King (Rumour)

I completely agree. Even if the GE for Paris had a light re-skin to the original trilogy, I imagine this would not be too labour-intensive. Generally the 'land' itself doesn't have to look any different, and it would give an exclusivity to the Paris version. I honestly think one of the main...

Disneyland Paris 8th Jan-11th Jan Trip report, thoughts and criticisms

We got back from our trip this week and have had time to think through the trip we took. We are both two adults (29 & 38), it was my (29) 5th trip to DLP and my partners first. We took a 3 week trip to WDW and Uni in September 2022 and figured that, in waiting for Epic Universe to open, we would...

News Disney Symphony Of Colors Nighttime Show 2024

Just got back from 4 days at Sequoia Lodge and had the pleasure of catching the show twice during our holiday. Can confidently say that this is one of my favourite shows I've seen Disney put on - you don't get a sense of the sheer scale of these from the videos at all. The music was fantastic...

Universal files patents in Spain with something resembling Velocicoaster. Speculation of Universal Europe begins.

It would be a very welcome addition to our continent - exciting to hear! I wonder if they would look to build a separate more traditional 'Universal' Park if they do buy out Portaventura? Would they have the land for a third park? Salou is a great area, very lively and with great transport links.
