Did they remove Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah from Festival of Fantasy?

I’m glad it’s gone. It reminds people that Disney used to have a ride based on African Folk Tales, and that hurt a lot of people feelings. Luckily, they are replacing it with a European Fairy Tale😍😍😍

Why no simple dark rides in Galaxy's Edge?

“Simple” dark rides are the foundation that Disney was built on (to me) so much creativity packed into small rooms. I will take a well built dark ride over an “action” ride any day. Add them together (splash mountain) and you get the best ride in the world! GE definitely needs more, but I’m not...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Replacing a ride based on African American Folk Tales with a ride based on European Fairytales sweeps away racism?? I guess my actually history and stories are too offensive for some people so we have to replace them with safer, European versions…

    Why?

We have priced trips to Europe for cheaper than Disney trips. “Once in a lifetime” trip or our yearly Disney trip? Pretty easy decision for us. I look forward to pricing out other locations in the future too. We’ll be back, but it will be closer to every five years going forward.

What Happens to WDW / Disney Parks during a massive correction / recession?

Hopefully change of leadership and a halt on all the new “upgrades”

If Pirates of the Caribbean Burned Down, Would Disney Rebuild It?

Disneyland? Maybe. Disney world? No. I would guess it would be replaced by a Moana or Encanto ride.

    Disney at night

Walking into a restaurant in the daylight and walking out at dusk/ night with all the lights (or in the case of old Epcot; Tapestry of nations and the the torch towers) was about the coolest feelings ever. You felt reenergized after eating and walking out to the cooler air.

    Most Underrated Attraction

Splash mountain: even being the most popular ride in the world isn’t enough for it 😉. But seriosuly, living with the land, CoP, Tta would all be in consideration for me, but I’m going to say the transportation rides. The trains, monorails, horses trolley, the riverboat, they all add so much to...

Best Area of the Magic Kingdom

Here’s some fairly small areas that I like to visit: The queue of Splash Mountain. It’s in its own little world down there. TSI, a little sitting dock across from Big Thunder. Two rocking chairs on a porch in Liberty Square.

    WDW Answer to Hagrid's/VelociCoaster

I really like Coasters, but if I had to choose only riding dark rides vs roller coaster, I would pick dark rides all day. The theming, story telling, and ambiance created in those dark rides is what sets (set) Disney apart. Luckily, there’s a lot of middle ground between the two that Disney can...

    Space Mountain vs Splash Mountain

Splash, hands down. Best music in the parks, great story, great animatronic, awesome drop, and the only ride based on African American Folk Tales. (Space is awesome too…)

It’s Tough to be a Bug (Literally)

When talking to people who have just got back from their first Disney trip, I have always heard complaints about the cost and the crowds, but usually, there was a “but..” and then we talked about the incredible rides and how everything is so well themed, even the lines, etc. and you could always...

POLL: Will transportation within WDW - (bus/boat/Skyliner/monorail) remain free?

Probably keep it free but have an up charge for priority seating. Skip the line at the monorail/bus station at the end of the night type of thing. Lot of people would be interested in that I bet. And after a while, everyone will have to pay for it it if they want to get anyplace in under 2...

how much would you pay to experience something defunct at WDW?

$50,000 to experience the original California Adventure 😍😍😍 Just kidding. But I would probably do 1000 a day to visit various parks in different eras. That would have to include Disneyland. Could probably spend 3 different days there.

Why do we need Mission: SPACE at this point?

I’m not a fan, but it’s interesting to see some people talk about their love for the ride. I say keep it for the moment, because current management just couldn’t handle replacing it with a superior or even equal attraction.

    Rank the Disney/Universal Orlando parks

If Universal spent a few hundred million updating the set design of their parks, it would be tough for me say any Disney park is “better”. But, as of right now, there’s to many exposed show buildings and not quite the level of detail in some part of the parks that I would consider up to a...

Pirates of the Caribbean vs Splash Mountain

Splash edges it out because it’s the total package. I like Pirate’s line, but I love Splash’s. Pirates Life for Me is great, but it doesn’t quite meet Zip A Dee Doo Dah, Laughing Place and all of the other songs. “Dead Man tell no tale” is spookier than “time to be turning around” so I’ll give...

Which Disney World attraction (past or present) has/had the best music loop?

Hard to beat Splash Mountain for me. Hearing it take me right back to the line in the middle of a hot morning on our last day of vacation. You can almost smell the popcorn and churros the second you turn it on. Edit: almost forgot carousel of progress. The perfect show to watch in the middle...

Why I may not go again

We have decided to cut back on our trips. Price increases and current park conditions are a part of it, but we also just want to do other things. For the price of a typical trip to Disney (for us), we can take a “once in a lifetime” trip to Europe, or save money and go someplace more local...

    Best Marvel Ride in Orlando

Agreed. They are up there with Splash Mountain, Pirates, and HM for me. With all of those, it’s not just the ride, not just the sets, not just the story or soundtrack, but all of it coming together with such care and perfection, that you get a masterpiece. The ones you listed at the end (HP...
