News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

I would argue that Frank Wells's death was more the true end of "old Disney" what with Euro Disneyland being the last hurrah of (edit: some of the last people to have been hired when it was called...) WED. I'd argue Eisner on his own just couldn't cut it (no offense to the guy) and Iger is far...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I think there is something to be said for an increasing number of people just not behaving with a base level of decorum. I'm the farthest thing from people saying Civilization Is Decaying or whatever (I have no truck for those types) but I do notice people not putting things back where they...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

One random anecdote I can share is that I talked to a random customer at my work who went to Disney and when I asked what their favorite ride at WDW was they said Guardians at EPCOT. I guess my point is that just because we don't all love it doesn't mean it's not a major major draw right now.

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

Probably not...I imagine Covid has severely limited their desire for touchables. But I know nothing lol

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

It's not amazing when you look at the priorities Disney has. Not being snarky! Universal and Disney are equivalent in terms of their portfolios but Universal understands what Disney seems not to: The current demo favors in-person experiences over sit-down entertainment media. Now this may be due...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

It's the exact same layout as the current spot, folks. It really is a beautiful piece, you've got a knack. (My personal ideal at this point would be that but over in the corner behind storybook circus, lol.)

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I went to MK once, in 2004 so peak Presslering. It was still fun for kid me but looking back now I understand what I missed out on. It's funny, one of the few distinct memories I have is my family talking about the spitting camels. So in some weird way the Eisner-era guff actually stuck with me...

News Disney World's latest popcorn bucket release generates queues despite Mobile Order reservation system

Yep...it's easy for those of us here to assume we're representative but we are a niche group. Poor Mr. Toad...anon, anon.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

That would, at least, be like three times as tall as SM lmao.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I have considered a dumb and likely unpopular Blue Sky idea...which would be to demolish SM and build PatF Splash in the NE corner of the park, with a small NOLA-themed area similar to the current Splash area. There are ways to blend Storybook Circus into that...would literally never happen...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I really like PatF, if I'm bein honest. Still not thrilled with it's placement in Frontierland. I can't really say anything about Splash itself cause I never rode it (fake fan, fake fan) but I get why people don't want it to be changed

Rumor Wreck-It-Ralph Attraction Likely to Replace Stitch’s Great Escape

Not so much not true as was planned and may be...canned

Rumor Wreck-It-Ralph Attraction Likely to Replace Stitch’s Great Escape

Ah, should've been more clear. Keeping the white futurist architecture but theming the building underneath with brick. Not as in-your-face, relatively similar to what is there now. I do see what you mean though.

Rumor Wreck-It-Ralph Attraction Likely to Replace Stitch’s Great Escape

I think retrofitting in some urban design and new facades could achieve that. Make the SGE building look like a brick warehouse underneath, and the opposing structures look like a small town square or something. Idk exactly but in the same way that Storybook Circus resembles a real place. Maybe...

Rumor Wreck-It-Ralph Attraction Likely to Replace Stitch’s Great Escape

So now WDW's 50th is a tacky castle repainting and a bigger candy store.

Rumor Wreck-It-Ralph Attraction Likely to Replace Stitch’s Great Escape

I think a big problem with TL is a) there's no Theme and b) there isn't really any thought put into the pedestrian layout, it's just kind of a big open space with a cafeteria in the middle. Unfortunately I think to properly fix it you'd have to completely redo it. As for a reno, you could tear...
