Your first Disney running event was?

2015 Wine & Dine Half Marathon (or not really!) - last nighttime race...being corralled like cattle into the Field House due to lightning...stepping off at around midnight...hitting the after party at 2 am...good times!

    Mobile Ordering

I used it several times last year during my trips in Aug and Nov (Cosmic Rays at MK, Electric Umbrella at EPCOT, and Columbia Harbor House at MK)...no issues with order and zero wait.

    Opinion on Caribbean Beach Changes

Agree - I stayed here in early November for the W&D Half Marathon weekend and wrote a response on another thread (Nov 11) which I posted below. It sounds as though check-in still may be an issue based on your post. I'm curious if they're still working on the sidewalks outside of Port Royale...

    Caribbean Beach Renovation

@surfsupdon - when I was there for W&D Half marathon weekend, the answer was no! They closed around 11/11:30 and the signage screen changes to reflect that they will reopen for dinner at 5pm.

    Your help needed?

Beautiful reno of the lobby/sitting area, but I'm hoping check-in queue and process is still working out its initial kinks. They're still working on the sidewalks outside of Port Royale from main entrance to the bus stops there, so you just have to be very aware (particularly at night as the...

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

Great shots crossing the line @RunningKoen ! I won't even show mine - I was blocked by someone else's arms up in the air, and turned my head as I heard those two announcer guys mention Team Sparrow on my shirt...let's just say it was an "action shot" - LOL!

    Your help needed?

My vote of the 3 you inquired about would be POR. I just stayed at CBR last weekend, and am not impressed with all the changes that have been made.

    Jamaica vs Aruba at CBR

Just stayed there for the W&D half marathon weekend and was in Building 45 (upstairs) - door opened up to the interior courtyard view. I turned the corner and the stairs leading down were closest to the bridge that leads to Caribbean Cay/Port Royale. I will tell you that there is a Skyliner...

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

Hi everyone - back from the W&D myself...first, congratulations to everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been online and was unable to meet up with you in Mexico..the joys of working for a charity - dealing with 88 different runners (along with problems and personalities!) makes me feel like Julie the...

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

Absolutely - I was incredibly lucky last year...was on line at Islands of the Caribbean grabbing a quesito and mojito, and they shut the pavilion down right after me. Aggh - so excited!! Loving how they kept the half course the same as last year and so glad the 10K'ers get back to running...

    How's the coffee these days?

LOL - so true (as a NY'er myself and living right on the Hudson, I wouldn't even swim in it)! So glad this thread came up as I was going to post the question as well (and I am by no means a coffee snob but require my 16 oz cup of joe to get me through the day)! When we were there last month and...

    Favorite F&W Festival food?

My favorites are: Brat on a pretzel roll (Germany) Quesito - puff pastry with sweet cream cheese and guava sauce (Islands of the Caribbean) Alcoholic Dole Whip (Refreshment port)

    Which Port Orleans...

We just returned from POFQ (Aug 4-11) and stayed in a refurbed room in Building 6. As all have already mentioned - FQ is the smaller of the two with one bus station right outside the front entrance (versus the loop at POR). I have stayed at both resorts multiple times and really enjoy the...

    Insane crowds, more space needed

We watched from a different vantage point this last trip as well...got out of Peter Pan's flight and stayed near the Carousel/outside Philharmagic. We had a nice view with minimal crowds.
