Rumor WDW Rumor Tracker - Revenge of the Fifth (D23 2024 Prep Edition)

I couldn't agree more with your second paragraph. Disney really needs new management. Leaders who understand what made the company standout and where their real strengths are and move back to the standards of the past. They need leaders who actually like the product they are creating and selling...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I am not commenting on the merits of this woman's case. But remote interviews and Inspire with help with providing the correct out come vs I just want this irate person away from me so here's your DAS. A lot of this goes on.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

It is tempered by how much it effect's Disney's ability to run their business. The law takes both into account. Disney only has to provide the experience of the normal able-bodied guest not the extra paid for Genie+.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

They have single days way over 1 mil in revenue. 450 -900 an hour based on demand and seasonality.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

They have over 200. They added like 40-50 just for Club 33 initial volume.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I have from solid sources that on the high demand days it's 125.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

This would interfere with 250 -500k they make a day on VIP tours. ( some days more) and 33.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I feel Disney wants to do the best job for their guests. But they have to use a system far short of a 45 min in person doctor interview. IMHO we need to have some perspective. This not someone's education, livelihood etc. The end of the day this is still a theme park.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Disney is foolish if they don't do both. They are so behind the curve on capacity at this point. They have been asleep at the switch for so long.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

My guess is if the Cast member denies some one the DAS pass then Inspire will be used as the escalation ( I want to speak to a manager) call. It will give Disney a buffer. I feel many of the physical disabilities with be accommodated with the return to the line solution that has yet to be...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

I think you are wrong about them not needing anything new. they are probably 12-16 attractions low . They have 25% more guests and no net new attractions ( many worse if you gauge it by guest through put by hour). This has lead to the mess WDW is now. They haven't invested enough over the last...

Has Anyone Dined at Narcoossee's Since it Reopened This Week?

I have been 3 times since it was revamped. The food and cocktails are much improved. Some of the better dishes on property now. In the running for the best bread too. We had stopped going to Narcoossee's 10 or more years ago. I think they greatly improved the decor as well. It is back on a list...

News Chapek FIRED, Iger New CEO

This is is the tale of Disney's current and midrange problems in a nut shell. Until they change this formula they will have problems. Really sad and it was so predictable . Disney needs a board that UNDERSTANDS what Diseny's real core strengths are and what made it successful and nurtures that path.

News Walt Disney Company plans to spend $17 billion at Walt Disney World over the next ten years

There is a reasonable hope that Disney increases Capex in WDW based on Wall Street's current view that the parks division is the more consistent earner and warrants more investment. What that increased level actually equals is anyone's guess.

News Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

The rooms are very nice and large. But the common area's and the facade are mid level Marriott and too small. It is foolish and sad that Disney will never build a Wilderness lodge or Animal Kingdom lodge again. They no longer know what the Disney difference is or care.

News Walt Disney Company plans to spend $17 billion at Walt Disney World over the next ten years

You are so right. Disney management doesn’t seem to realize they are not replacing the Nostalgic prime customers to replace those aging out or passing away. They really need 4 rides on each of the 4 parks in WDW and a refurb of at least 5. This 17 billion needs to be cap ex and front loaded...

News Walt Disney Company plans to spend $17 billion at Walt Disney World over the next ten years

I think a case could be made by Disney to Waalstreet for ride expansion based on ILL revenue. They could recoup much of the cost of new rides in 2 years with ILL , then rinse and repeat. They will need to respond to Epic soon due to lead times. They also have a horrible capacity problem in 3 of...
