Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

I have to push back on that idea a bit. I think there is a wildly inflated (no pun intended) idea of how far the stimulus money that individuals got went. There were 3 stimulus payments, the last one was in March of 2021. If you add up all 3 of them, the total the average family got would...

Maybe at some resorts? I know when I used to regularly stay at Pop Century, the food court was always closed by the time I got back from the parks (and I usually go in the slower season where parks were closed by 9PM, lucky if you got 10PM at MK). I remember once getting over to the...

This was my #2 takeaway from Disneyland, after #1 being so impressed by how their Fantasyland is set up (truly making you feel like the characters live there and you are just wandering around finding their attraction homes). It was just amazing how much good, fresh food with a nice variety was...

I think this every time I am at the grocery store - let alone when it comes to WDW, which I agree - I just cannot imagine how much people have to spend on food, especially if they are isolated on site and can't even get off property for breakfast/snacks.

    Tiana’s Bayou Adventure SPOILER Thread

I really, REALLY wish they had worked it in, somewhere, somehow, even at the very end. Even if not the full-on version, just playing the instrumental after the final scene as you head to disembark. Just as a nod to the history and impact the original ride had. It's easily one of the top 3...

Is It Wrong That I'm A Bit Jealous Of Tokyo Disneyland?

It would be strange if you weren't.

They've always been this way, as far as I can remember. I honestly don't think I've ever stood in line at WDW and the wait been as long as the sign said, unless the attraction actually broke down while I was in line.

    Disney yuck

In the Northeast as well, and my conclusion with AC has been to make super-sure that any water in it is fully drained, and it the whole thing is completely free of any moisture in and out before you store it (in the fall, I even have taken mine outside to put under the sun on it's side to make...

    Disney yuck

Oh, absolutely - it's just a matter of degrees. At least in most attraction lines there are high ceilings and more airflow in general, and WDW doesn't use as many back to back switchbacks as other parks or even Disneyland has, so you are definitely sharing air with the people around you as...

    Disney yuck

That's one of the multiple reasons that I just don't use Disney busses any more. Waiting in those bus lines and piling everyone nose to back on the busses breathing all the stale reused air dozens of others are is where I am pretty sure that I've gotten sick 99% of times that I have while at...

It's been discussed so much over the past, egads, almost two decades since that I stopped following long ago...but I believe the consensus is that the fancy mechanism that made the Yeti move (the one the TV specials about Everest proudly touted as the same power as a jet engine) was not properly...

They had all that fancy stuff with Everest - and they even had not one but 3 different TV specials telling us all about it - tinkers darn worth of good it did for the poor Yeti, LOL.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

In the end, if the signs are all we truly have to complain about - then Disney will have done a fine job on the attraction LOL.

Rumor Moana E-Ticket Ride to Adventureland

I shook his hand once! LOL. At Planet Hollywood in NYC, like 25 years ago - I was just there for lunch, had no idea anything was going on, and suddenly as I'm paying the bill, Jackie Chan walks in, and it was like a Disney character meal, he just walked around and shook hands with a huge smile...

Only a portion of rooms are even available this far out. Disney purposefully releases them in waves based on booking/demand, because they want people to have the feeling of scarcity and to encourage them to book the higher priced rooms before they release more lower priced rooms. It works...

    MagicBand+ announced

I may very well be incorrect about the door opening procedure (I haven't paid on property prices since these things came out), but I never said any data was physically stored on the Magic Bands themselves. The point was, we are talking about a database that the Magic Bands access, which has a...

On the band itself, no - it's just a numerical code. But that code accesses a database specifically for those Magic Bands, containing the info that Magic Bands are meant (or were meant, depending on the data, i.e. birthdays and such) to be able to quickly access. They aren't hitting the...

    MagicBand+ announced

Oh, I'd be willing to bet there is a lot more there, especially if they actually had the intention of doing what they originally said they would do with them that never came to fruition. Example, you were supposed to be able to walk up to a NextGen Mickey, and he would know your name, and if it...

    MagicBand+ announced

At a certain point, there is only so much you can do in that regard, no matter how powerful the systems running it are. When you think of how many millions upon millions of these things are out there, a database can only instantly access so many records. And even if they were able to just dump...
