No, the company could have continued upholding the original theme of the park but decided against it in favor of IP synergy. Has nothing to do with pavilion sponsors ending their contracts.

There’s already a few Cars easter eggs in the attraction, too. Very quick and you’ll miss it like you’ll miss the WoM references other than the logo plastered everywhere.

Man, why did they ever paint those buildings in any color but white? It looks so clean and bright.

You’ll get a “Xandarian Pavilion” load area at best. I highly doubt there will be much classic EPCOT in the attraction aside from some music and maybe a quip or two in the narration.
