News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

That's exactly my point. If he hasn't addressed (read: resolved with a "guarantee") this issue, one could be, in theory, turned away at the second park of the day....thus negating the entire point of the park pass system which he suggests is to "guarantee" that guests don't have that experience...

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

Will parkhoppers be "guaranteed" to be able to hop over to another park (or three) after 2pm if they've already tapped into their reserved park prior to 2pm? I don't see being turned away as a real problem-that-must-be-solved in terms of "guest experience" for Disney visitors, but has Mr...

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

It's brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!! If they're selling too many $6.49 Dole Whips and not enough $13.50 Cookies-n-Cream funnel cakes, they can shut off the Dole Whip machine.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

Florida Locals, I look forward to your reports on the New "Festivals Between The Festivals" when you are once again called upon (roughly around the time Epic Universe fires up their Opening Day TikTok team to thumb their noses at Disney) to save the parks. The 10% discount on funnel cakes...

    I.L.L. and Genie+ with ParkHopping

Just want to clarify something.... It's possible for an onsite guest with a park hopper ticket to purchase (at 7am) an I.L.L. for sometime after 2pm in an afternoon park....but to book (and keep booking) Genie+ attractions in a morning park until time to hop over and use the I.L.L.....right?

And in other "people are stupid" news...

A couple of years ago, we had gone over to Wilderness Lodge for a meal. While we were waiting for transportation back to our resort afterward, we saw a car pull up under the portico...and then turned left and drove down the stairs. The car paused for a moment at the bottom of the stairs and...

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

Wondering, because nothing is really free, if Genie’s itinerary planning tool may drive people toward situations in which they decide to purchase Genie+ or IAS….and later that day they discover theyve done so unnecessarily.

    Say NO To Genie+ PETITION

Fear not, dahling, my new Edna+ app is coming soon. For just $14/day/guest in Florida and only $19/day/guest at California, I'll personally entertain you in the standby line of my choice at a time convenient to me. Just like previous versions that get you into attractions quickly but now...

Okay, Who’s Booking at Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser?

I’m turned off by that much structure on vacation and by the role-play interaction so I was never gonna be the target audience here….but this sounds like a plan! Except I probably would openly RUN out of there instead of sneaking out.😬

    Ohana Has Hit Rock Bottom

There has never been a better time to get potstickers from the refrigerated case at Capt Cooks and noodles at the bar. Better to skip shrimp-n-breadcrumbs and be thought a fool than to serve casserole and to remove all doubt.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

"I miss resort fees so much when I stay at a Disney resort." Said no one ever.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

You're missing the part where you clean your own room and traipse through the hotel hallways with a bag of trash, trying to find somewhere to put it.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

One thing I feel positive about in terms of DLP charging a per/person, per/ride fee to use the FP line is that I can easily see the valuation Disney puts on a given attraction. We are fortunate to be able to afford to do this, but it turns out there's no single attraction at DLP (or any Disney...

Grand Floridian Outer Buildings- which one is best?

We've been assigned a room in the main building twice since reopening last year (Sep 2020 and Feb 2021.) We've never requested an upgrade (at GF or anywhere else) and those rooms were definitely not a bookable category. Both times we had booked Outer Garden View so I was pretty shocked to be...

News Refurbishment coming soon to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Moana details to be included

Looking forward to our stay next month, even with the continued construction. I think the new rooms are a big improvement over the beat up condition of the rooms the last few years, allowing the room condition to 'catch up' to the beautiful resort grounds. 🌴
