Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Actually before Potter the park was not in very good financial shape and there was serious consideration to closing the parks for a few days each week. Potter really did save the resort (And Comcast - after Potter - decided to keep the parks instead of selling them off which was their original...

Walt Disney – A Magical Life

I s I sincerely doubt Disney would want to tear down all of Tomorrowland to install a 60-year-old attraction that 1) They didn't pay for to design and build and 2) Didn't pay for he move and 3) Had pretty much zero attendance at the end. Thats the thing about Disneyland - AA shows don't last...

Walt Disney – A Magical Life

They'd have to tear the building down to rebuild which, according to several videos, cannot be done because the 1967 redo put necessary infrastructure in the building. So that would mean tearing down and rebuilding all of Tomorrowland. And that doesn't include the $$$ needed from the currently...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Riiiiiight. Sure. Keep telling yourself that. The reality is they are humans dressed up as animals. (And I said picture JUDY naked, which she never is)

Walt Disney – A Magical Life

My understanding is the building in Disneyland can't even rotate anymore

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Except, again, it'd look pretty silly to have him running in clothes. We already know they are going for the animals-who-are-humans look rather than anything authentic. Unless they aren't going to use the characters from the movie and substitute real animals. In this IP driven world, ain't a...

EPCOT Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Too many "gags" were designed for 3D (like the hand reaching out and hitting a mousetrap). In 2D it will look weird. Plus without spacial separation things get distorted and sizes look off kilter (See: the Kong ride with its 200-foot girl or F&F were everyone thinks the guy is riding a...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Except can you really imagine either of the leads naked? After all, the bugs weren't wearing clothes in the movie or the attraction. I think that wouldn't work for Zootopia (in fact the poster shows them wearing clothes so the point is moot). One was about bugs. The other features humans...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

You've confused the movie with the attraction. The attraction highlighted individual insects and their traits. The movie still was not quite a stand-in for humans as much as Zootopia is though. They're basically furries.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

A Bugs life was a story about bugs. They didn't wear clothes, take trains, and have jobs. Zootopia is basically furries

MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Glad I worked Cruise when they weren't so tough (my spiel was about 90% improv). Dick Nunis rode my boat and laughed his tail off. (I even made Phyllis Diller crack up). 50 years later and I can still do the spiel (my biggest laughs always came from a non-verbal joke. Exiting the temple I'd...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

The tea cups were not covered in 1971. It, along with poor drainage and uncovered queues outdoors (Mansion, HoP, Country Bears) were quickly modified as best as they could be.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

In theory thew original land was supposed to take you through the story of food, more or less. The film upstairs ("Symbiosis") talked about man and harmony with the land. The exits (most) took guests downstairs to the boat ride about advances in growing crops. This in turn exited next to...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Considering he musical is very loosely based on the books, I imagine they'll pick and choose just pieces to build a new story on (Glinda and Elphaba's friendship is like 2 chapters in the book).

Yes, the authors of the musical have expressed they hope to do additional projects in the same universe.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

One of the things about outdoor rides is they do add kinetic energy to the land - especially at Berk where there's the coaster zipping by and the flyers appearing over the buildings. One of the things people complain about Galaxy's Edge is it feels empty

MK is closer t0 85k (they actually hit 80k once). And tell me what theme park worries about comfortable capacity? Certainly not Disney or Universal. They are looking for $$$

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

As the park expands many of those issues will disappear (for example there will be a who;e new land - or 2 - between Stardust and Potter). Like when the MK opened and the corner by TLT and the castle had a huge blank cement wall which is now hidden by trees, shrubbery and a berm.
