    Rumor Soarin' 2.0?

This reminds me of the early descriptions of the Avengers ride at Disneyland. You were going to start off in a quinjet, then eject and fly around in a jet pack. I guess that idea got scrapped in favor of the "King Thanos" concept.

Describe your first trip to WDW. How old were you? What year was it?

It was 1972 and I was four years old. I remember riding Flight to the Moon. I had grandparents and aunts and uncles in Winter Park so we went often in the 70's and 80's, and most of my memories are probably from later trips. My grandmother had a drawer in her kitchen full of partially used...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I remember when BTMR opened. I was 12 and so excited that there would at long last be TWO thrill rides at Disney World. I was seriously underwhelmed. 😂 Now that I'm an old lady I like it more.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I feel like I missed my chance earlier in this thread to wax nostalgic about visiting the Magic Kingdom as a child. We went the first year it opened. I remember riding Flight to the Moon that first trip. My grandparents lived in Winter Park so we went every year for a while. They had a drawer in...

MaxPass vs. Photopass + One Week

I worry now though whether I'll be able to get all my race photos next week. The 10K starts Saturday at 5 am, but according to this the photopass window starts at 6 am, and I won't have MaxPass Friday. :(

MaxPass vs. Photopass + One Week

The key words there are "captured at." That's explaining which photos you can download, not when they can be downloaded.

MaxPass vs. Photopass + One Week

You have 45 days from the day they were taken to download photos. MaxPass rules are the same as PhotoPass in this regard.

New Disneyland Parking Garage and Transportation Hub

That's good because otherwise people would tell their cars to just drive around empty all day rather than pay for parking.

New Disneyland Parking Garage and Transportation Hub

Eventually they'll need to plan for large numbers of guests getting dropped off by their self-driving cars, then sending their cars off to park themselves somewhere further away. I wonder if they are thinking about that?

Future Disneyland Resort run weekends cancelled?

According to Tom Bricker the new hotel has been redesigned and moved, so maybe the staging area won't be lost after all. http://www.disneytouristblog.com/60-day-off-site-hotel-fastpass-window-disney-world-disneyland-luxury-hotel-club-33/

    Cracked.com article about opening day

"It wasn't fun. But I also remember that I wanted to go again. So much had gone wrong, yet there was still something to it. I reread all my journal before the interview, and it's bringing back memories of still being memorable and likable, and I remember not liking it. There was still something...

    The Disneyland Casting-Couch Gag

According to this site https://thetalkingpot.wordpress.com/tag/disney-bladid/: "BLAÐIÐ is Icelandic. Meaning: BLAÐ means magazine (in this context) and the -IÐ at the end is equivalent to ‘the’, so this means ‘the magazine’. The word above ‘BLAÐIÐ’ is ‘Disney’, so the full title is ‘DISNEY...
