    Weekend crowds vs weekday

That makes a lot of sense. I scanned through past years' spring break timeframes on TP and it doesn't seem consistently low on weekends, so maybe it was just a weird weekend. Animal Kingdom at a 3 and Epcot at 2 on a Saturday really surprised me, especially with a festival concert that night.

    Renting DVC points confusion

In my comparisons, I’ve found the other major site to be cheaper than the one listed here. But my research has been limited.

Help Me Choose Our Next Disney Resort!

A few suggested Caribbean Beach. I believe their pool is scheduled for refurb around that time next year so that might be out for you. The quiet pools are ok but the main pool and splash area is great for kids and I wouldn’t stay there if it was closed.

    Weekend crowds vs weekday

I’ve been keeping an eye on lines and crowd levels. Was this past weekend a fluke? Or are lower weekend vs. weekday crowds normal during spring break because some tickets are blocked out on the weekend? TouringPlans says actual crowds were a 5 and 4 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively...

Rope Drop is most important at which Parks?

There seems to be a lot of debate around stacking. I could see it being a potential strategy if we rope drop and then have a mid-day break, but it also seems like a pain to watch my phone for the right return times. I've been checking the Touring Plans data and not really sure how to approach...

Rope Drop is most important at which Parks?

I have a reservation at CBR, but thinking of changing at least some of the days to Swan because I saw availability. (CBR is a bit cheaper, but we would get evening hours at Swan.) I wanted Boardwalk, but we booked too late to rent DVC points and for the extra cost, we could buy G+/ILLs/After...

First Look: Refurbed Caribbean Beach "Little Mermaid" Room

Cute! The bathrooms at CBR really need a refurb. I wonder what the walking time is from Bldgs. 38 and 39 to the Skyliner.

Rope Drop is most important at which Parks?

While I don't love the idea of paying for it, yes. I did build the cost into our budget. I could also potentially pay for an after hours event - I'm thinking perhaps HS because HS sounds like such a pain.

Help needed Genie+ with middle of the day break

I've been pondering the same issue. I've been debating stacking vs. the "get as many as possible" strategy. At DLR last spring break, we mostly chose LLs for whatever we could go on soonest (and had a long-ish line). We ended up making it onto every ride with short waits. WDW seems much trickier...

Rope Drop is most important at which Parks?

So my family are not early morning people. Last year we rope dropped DL and DCA, but the time change worked in our favor. We have 5 days at WDW coming up (in March, when it's busy), and I'm guessing I'll be able to get them to rope drop maybe twice. Which parks do you think rope drop is most...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

All of these things can and should be discussed. But it's frustrating when you live in an area where people are actively protesting against vaccinations, trying to prevent schools from having mask requirements (forget discussions about keeping kids in pods), and refuse to politely socially...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

The sad thing is that many people will look at this sweet child and say "well, she was overweight, so that can't happen to my kid." I keep hearing excuses like that for every child who has died or has covid complications. Or "well, it's so rare." Yes, the rate of death and rate of complications...

    DCL Motorcoach vs Lyft?

It was definitely more time consuming; however, we were able to have the car for 24 hours, so that allowed us some flexibility, which was nice. Disney Car Care Center was easy; they sent a shuttle to pick us up and take us there to get our rental car. I believe Swan/Dolphin has a rental car...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Where I live, yes. Most restaurants are crowded. Distancing is a thing of the past. Hence why we almost always get take out. I'm glad people have jobs and happy to support good places to eat, but it's much too people-y out there for me sometimes.

    First Visit - Some Questions

Uber XL, I believe would fit your party and would be the easiest way to get from/to the airport. There is also a Mears bus service. https://www.mearsconnect.com/?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 For character dining and bippity bobbity boutique, I would book at 60 days out if you can...

    DCL Motorcoach vs Lyft?

We did a 1-day car rental. Picked up the car from the Disney Car Care Center, drove to Port Canaveral, dropped it off and rode the free shuttle bus from the rental car place to the port. It was easy and cheap.

Which means more to you: the Parks or the Characters?

The M&G is "safer" for the guests and CMs because it allows for a line and not mobbing of wandering characters. But realistically, I think M&Gs are a cheap and easy way for Disney to keep more guests occupied and "happy" without building additional attractions. And I'm one of those people who...

Which means more to you: the Parks or the Characters?

Do you mean specifically at the Parks, or for Disney as a whole company? Holistically, the characters and stories (told through past and future movies) are most important to me, more than the Parks. But I don't go to the Parks to only see characters.

    What would you do?

You might also check park hours. If you're only there 2 days, AK has a slightly earlier opening and slightly earlier closing than some parks. Epcot opens later.
