New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I do agree that the accommodations are for attractions access. However, the difficulty Disney opens themselves up to are if those accommodations don’t make the experience for those with disabilities equitable to those without disabilities. I’m not entirely convinced right now that all of the new...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

There’s an awful lot of ableism in this thread I feel. Disney should really be trying to do what it can to reasonably accommodate so that someone with disability’s day is as enjoyable as those who have no disabilities. Telling a child who has bladder issues and is on a transplant list that they...

News Nearly all rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have waits above 2 hours at a very busy Walt Disney World

I would agree with this. They’ve created a perfect storm of runDisney, New Years crowds plus, for this year, winter break crowds. It’ll be interesting to see how severe the drop in crowd levels is next week cos most people with a reason to be in Orlando are here now. In news relevant to the...

News Nearly all rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have waits above 2 hours at a very busy Walt Disney World

One of the shafts went down just before we entered the library so it wasn’t too much of a delay for us thankfully. The LL for Runaway Railway was truly something to behold though. The cast members were just being mobbed by people.

News Nearly all rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have waits above 2 hours at a very busy Walt Disney World

We spent the day in HS today and it was probably the most manic day I’ve ever spent in a Disney park in over 20 years. We were evacuated off RNRC (got to see the ride with lights on which was neat!), however, almost every single ride we have waited for has had a technical issue. My brother has a...

All Star Music - rennovations have begun

Thanks! Those are both preferred buildings. It depends on how quick they are on refurbing Buildings 9/10 then. 50% shot at a refurbed room. Month and a half for them to finish those two buildings; not sure on my chances tbh.

All Star Music - rennovations have begun

Did you notice which buildings out of interest? I'm aware that Calypso was under refurb about a month ago. We're staying there over Christmas in a preferred room and wouldn't mind a refurbed room!

Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2019 Earnings Webcast

Whilst there is some truth in this, it is rarely to this extent. In 2016 after Shanghai’s costs overran, entertainment was cut similarly in the domestic parks. September was undeniably soft in the domestic parks and it was followed by the severest entertainment cuts since 2016. Star Wars was...

News WDW Food and Beverage Price Increases 10/1/2019

It looks like mostly popular snacks and QS desserts and sides have gone up. They haven’t touched drinks (a wise move). The most egregious increase I could find is at Pecos Bill’s - Rice / Beans have gone from $2.99 to $4.49. A 50% increase.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Not a frequent poster but many of the points made here I think explain the situation we’re seeing with Galaxy’s Edge. People generally don’t have a lot of vacation time and Disney pressurises us to pre-plan 6 months in advance. By pushing up the opening with less than 6 months notice, I think...

Quick service dining - best way to use

Agree with other posters - don't use meals for breakfast. You also have 2 snacks a day. There are lots of relatively filling snacks available which you could use to replace a meal (for example, breakfast). I'd be surprised if you need 2 QS meals + 2 snacks and then a table service a day. What...

    News D23 Expo 2019

Were there posters for the other two "neighborhoods"? I don't remember seeing them... This smacks of a last-minute change (from Brazil due to the current situation there?) Would explain the general dullness of the presentation - it was lacking a real big-hitter announcement.

OK, I'll Admit it...Disney Prices Are Out Of Control

We’ve been here for the past 10 days and can agree with so many of the OP’s points. Wait times on rides are being inflated because Disney are running them at reduced capacity (Big Thunder was only running one side in the afternoon one day and Space Mountain only loading one rocket at a time in...

Family of 5 in All Stars?

Also wait a month to see if Disney releases any offers for next year for the UK - they’re usually released in April/May. Value resorts like All-Stars get a free breakfast per guest per day but you can use this meal credit for any meal not breakfast. This could save you money on food.
