Actually for years Pixar never did use Macs for rendering. That changed with the G5 and Pixlet technology. See http://www.macnn.com/news/23784. Renderman was just relatively recently ported to OS X.

As some of you know, there are only 10 spaces for Monorails at 'the shop'. So where did the other two go during the hurricane? They parked them in the Contemporary. Incidentally, I was told the Contemporary can hold 4 monorails. Two on each track nose to nose. FYI
