I believe it's both. It's like Summer House on the Lake at DS - there's a bakery counter that's separate from the sit-down restaurant. It seems likely, though, that the restaurant side could lose potential business because of the confusion caused by the name.

The initial selections you see when pre-booking are held for you for 5 minutes and no one else can book them, so there should be no risk of losing them.

I sure hope so. In the FP+ days, there was a site that had a FP+ availability calendar (I can't recall which site) where you could see what selections were gone and when. It was one of the most useful things for planning out FP+ selections ahead of time so that you didn't waste time on booking...

I think the possibly more interesting data will be what 7-day availability looks like in a week or two when long stays start to overlap the 7-day on-property booking window.

So this would mean the return of the "throwaway" selection as a strategy.
