    Is Dinosaur more neon-y?

Up until a few days ago, I hadn't ridden Dinosaur in probably 11 years. Long story, had kids, didn't think they'd like it, maybe too intense for them, but now that they're about to turn 10, we tried it and they loved it. But maybe it's my memory, or maybe it's changed. I seem to think that...

Disneyland Max Pass is really nice, I wonder if it would work in Florida.

Just spent a few days in Disneyland and used the MaxPass. I thought it was really good, it's basically back to the old style fastpass system, but with your phone. Can only get fastpasses once your in the park, no doing it 60 days prior. It costs $10 per person, but it includes photopass as...

    Really Bothered at Star Tours

Last week, while visiting Hollywood Studios, we rode Star Tours. I've always loved the ride, in it's originally state, and it's current state. I especially love the Jakku scene. What bothered me was the guy who was working in our vehicle. First, everyone sits down, and he does the, "how's...

    Guess who...

Guess who realized, while sitting on his flight to Orlando at 37,000 ft, that he forgot to put his magical express luggage tags on? This guy.... My wife turned around and said, "we'll have to change our clothes when we get there because it'll be warm, but I want to take the sweatshirts so...

    What to expect next week.

Next week (starting 4/3 to 4/9) will be our first visit during spring break time. I've gone in the middle of the summer, the week before and including christmas, the first week of january, and presidents week. President's week (2015) was by far the worst. My question is, what to expect next...

You know what I just did?

...I ate an orange while doing something on the computer, and the smell of the orange reminded me of something, so....i went on youtube, watched a video of Horizons, and when the orange scene came up, i brought the orange up to my nose, to get the full effect. This is a great example of one...

    Arriving one week after Easter

Planning to arrive the Sunday after Easter. What to expect regarding crowds? I should say I've been there one year the week up to and including Christmas, I've been there one year the week of president's day, and I've been there the height of the summer (June, July, August), so crowds don't...

I just read this about tourist traps...makes no sense.

I just saw an article on MSN about the worst tourist traps in the country, and for some reason, Epcot was one of them. This is the paragraph about it: "When it comes to Walt Disney World, the Epcot Center is where dads go to find refuge from Magic Kingdom, the constant rides and cartoon...

    Doing Disney the "wrong way"

Before you jump all over the title, let me explain. Most people probably have many different opinions on the right way to do a disney trip, and they are all mostly true for each individual. But I think there is probably a common agreement amongst those on these boards as to the wrong way to do...

"We're going to get a Test Track for Soarin'"

One of the things that bugs me about these boards is how people tend to get SO mad at others for using phrases wrong. And that is not my intention here with this post, but after just returning from spending 5 days at the parks, I still think it's funny how people tend to use every phrase EXCEPT...

Rode the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the first time. Ride...eh. Technology...pretty cool.

We finally got on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train the other day. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. I didn't think it was that great. The roller coaster part wasn't that good, and the inside slow dark ride part was ok, but still was a bit less than what I was expecting. Visually, it's great...

Is it possible to get to dinner on time?

Timing question. I've done the magical express thing many times, but never this exact combination, so I'm not sure if our dinner reservations are possible. We land in Orlando at a few minutes before 3pm. Have to get to Caribbean Beach resort to check in, won't even go to the room, just right...

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes?

And I don't mean what do the computers that run the rides look like, or the people who operate them, I mean, what happens to the ride characters themselves behind the scenes. Is the dad from the carousel of progress secretly binge drinking between shows? Or is the daughter hiding her pot...

Land and Sea or just Sea?

I have a problem, and if there has ever been a first world problem, this is it. We're trying to decide what to do. My dad is into taking my family on cruises. We did one last year, another coming up in a few months, and he's already looking ahead to next summer. We did carnival last summer...

I know it's wrong, and I feel bad for it, but I admit I judge people for...

...having leashes on their kids. It isn't a conscience thing, and I immediately realize that I'm doing it and stop, but I do look at people and judge them negatively for it. I have twin 4 1/2 year olds. I've had them at Disney, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Sesame Place, Cedar Point, etc etc etc...

For the first time, I've finally seen the fabled mythical Brazillian Tour Groups

This week was my 9th trip to Disney as an adult, every time I go is either in the middle of the summer or christmas time. This was my first (and probably last) time going in an off-time. And up until this point, I thought the Brazillian tour group was just a thing of legend. And this time, I...

I was able to read people's minds during my trip this week.

During my trip this week, I was able to read minds, and this is what I heard multiple time, "Hmmmm, look at that walkway there, that's only wide enough for maybe two people to go through at once...you know what I'm going to do, yeah, that's what I'm going to do, I'm going to go stand RIGHT there...

Just got back from our first use of Fastpass+ and...

...I thought it was fine. I definitely liked being able to have fastpasses "in hand" so to speak when the park opened. I also liked not having to hold on to the pieces of paper or the inevitable problem with the machine. I really liked being able to rather easily change the time or...

Memory Maker, use card or magic band?

Just got our Disney Memory Maker card in the mail. Seems like a really great idea. My question is, do I have to take the card everywhere, or will it be linked to our magic bands too?

who in the world waits 4+ hours for a ride?

Since I got the Disney app, it's fun looking at wait times. Especially today. Right now it's a 250 minute wait for soarin. It's a great ride and everything, but who in the world waits over four hours for a five minute ride? I just don't get it.
