I found it was a band problem if the door lit up red, which it did often! But with the cold weather or if it was a battery problem, no green or red light would light up.

Keep both sets of bands! We had issues with 3 sets of bands just a week ago with only some of the bands opening the room. When we tried to have it fixed multiple times some bands that were working, wouldnt work later. We ended up carrying all 3 for each of us, you never knew what you were going...

From what I understand, you will enter MK, go to a FAstpass Kiosk locations around the park, stand in line (hopefully there's not one) and pick out your 3 fastpass attractions you would like for the day. If its like the online one, it will give you 4 choices of times for your 3 attractions.

Not at all! Had so many problems getting them to work on our room door. Didn't have any issues though with FP+.

I didn't believe it, he was taking a guess. Overall on my trip it seems a lot of cast members don't know what's going on with these magic bands. I can only hope it gets better.

The shorter version: if you have annual passes and tickets linked to your magic band, the magic band cannot distinguish which ticket you want to use on its own. A CM will have to call and set this up. I believed a CM at Pop Century when they told me my AP would be used first and my 2 day tckts...

I asked at MK today when making a purchase with my AP how this would work with just a MB and he seemed puzzled as well and guessed that the system would automatically know and give you the discount. I'm not counting on this. I still have my paper AP's and using a MB now as I'm staying on...

Yes I've been having the same problem with them getting into the room even in warm weather. I wasted so much time going back down to the front desk to get them to work at times. My family is starting to call them the "not so magical bands".

Just got back in my room with my band, must have been the 32 degrees this morning.

They said rub them with your hands. I said whatever to myself and left for the parks. Only way I knew about this is when my husband tried to get back in the room and couldnt get in. I was glad I was still in there! Hope it works later!

To clarify, it's the door locks being too cold so the Magic bands or I would think key to the world cards wouldn't work either.
