Did Disney go back to this version of Mickey because of public domain issues? By using "Old" Mickey again, did it push off some of those concerns? I thought I read something about this, but it may have been a dream (lol)....anyone know?

I agree....especially with the MK's RoA being at a lower elevation than the surrounding walkways, it'd would've worked really well. I feel the steamboat at MK "looks" better than at DL, due to this design aesthetic.

Exactly this....very early pre-opening art shows a Columbia plying the RoA. After the MK opened, park ops realized that the Columbia (at DL) provided almost no shade or protection from rain. With central Florida's sporadic thunderstorms, a second steamboat was chosen. I would have loved to...

Every time I think of IYHW (which was a family favorite), I hear the clatter of the projectors, in my head. We would ride that attraction over and over. As simple as the whole presentation was, it was highly effective, and better yet, as a "free" attraction, highly repeatable!

Now if you’d been on the Bay Lake side, seeing a riverboat being towed towards the MK.....well that would be awesome!

LB was referring to the Liberty Belle (this is a riverboat thread)....didn't realize that Lilly had an issue. The 19th was the scheduled return to service for the riverboat.

Thread bump.....any idea how LB's boiler rehab/replacement is going? July 19th is just three weeks away and I'm wondering if she'll be back according to the schedule.

Hopper was active in late April....AND the theatre was at least 3/4 full. It's still a popular attraction at DAK....being in the Tree of Life probably has something to do with that too. I always go, as I find it hilarious to witness guest reaction around me....especially the bit that asks...
