    News Tomorrowland love

Glass anyone? Love the curtains of glass Martin refers to....wish I'd taken different photos from different angles of both the north and south buildings all those years ago. There are from Feb 77, I believe. Who's for replacing/ressurecting all those lights below the PM track? Martin?

News Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad to be impacted by TRON construction at the Magic Kingdom

From what I was told, behind the Carousel of Progress going into Main Street, the elevation of the track bed increased rather quickly. When the retention pond was reworked in that area, the track bed was evened out over a longer stretch. I think the area from the Space Mountain tunnel to CoP...

EPCOT Updates to the Seas Pavilion

The whole Nemo overlay to the SeaCabs was a missed opportunity. Instead of spending 5 minutes looking for Nemo, we should have had 5 minutes of Edu-tainment. Imagine Mr Ray (and the rest of the Nemo gang) giving us fun facts about "the seas" and the importance of protecting them. That whole...

News Small World queue changes coming

Guess it all just depends when you visit. During my stay in November, standby hovered anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes, so the lines were out into the walkway. Get rid of FP and the queue would be far more manageable.

DHS Has RotR changed riders' minds about Galactic Starcruiser?

Chuckling to myself in regards to the back and forth critiques before the "experience" opens. As I recall, during construction, there was massive amounts of hate for Pandora at DAK. Just sayin'

News Small World queue changes coming

By switching the entrance and exit (now years ago), they more than doubled the amount of queue space needed for the attraction. The bottleneck outside the attraction used to be far worse when the IASW queue spilled further into the Fantasyland walkways than it does now. What's interesting is...

News Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad to be impacted by TRON construction at the Magic Kingdom

I was told by a few of the train engineers at Main Street that all the ties are being replaced with new concrete ties. Since the train is being moved, the work from Main Street, through Frontierland, and onto Fantasyland, must be completed. When I was there in November, the train had been...

News Fantasmic! closing for refurbishment this week

Technically, the DL show is head and shoulders above the DHS version. That said, Fantastic 2.0 at DL, has had the heart ripped out of it. The original version was one complete story, supported by an incredible score that was purposely written as one continuous piece of music. The current...

    Diamond Horseshoe Restaurant

I wish it would come back, too. Here's a picture of the crowd (those lucky enough to score a reservation after a dash through the park after the rope drop), waiting to enter the building just prior to the show. This photo is from 1976 or '77.

    After hours event

Not sure, but tix to After Hours may be capped at 3000 or so. The last DAK After Hours I went to had roughly 700 guests. How can you beat that. The special Rivers of Light presentation had roughly 200 watching. It was an incredible night.

    After hours event

An example of the lines at Peter Pan and "it's a small world", during Magic Kingdom After Hours, back in November. I should mention the MK was packed that day and evening. This event went from 10pm until 1am. Only saw one stroller and a couple kids all night long. It was like "adults only"...

    After hours event

I've found Disney After Hours to be the best value of ANY ticket into the parks. Just the free popcorn, ice cream snacks, and bottled water and soda makes the event highly worth the cost. At MK, I actually rode Space Mountain 5 times in a row without one second of waiting. I was alone in the...

Great Moments in History to return for limited time during holidays

Great Moments in History proves that Disney does know how to educate and entertain at the same time. This exact approach should have been used with Nemo (and friends), in The Living Seas. If EPCOTs overhaul followed the Muppets lead in Liberty Square, I might not be so averse to characters...

No fastpass showing after Jan 25 for muppets?

During my 8 day visit last week, went into Muppets twice. Both of those showings were at least 75% full. Good to see. Chris B was happy! He still laments it's closing at DCA.

    News Tomorrowland love

Interestingly enough, I was just at WDW for 8 nights, 11/13-11/21, and the CoP was attracting large numbers of guests. I visited the attraction 4 times, all at different times of the day, and the theaters were at least 50-75% full during each of those showings. The other theatre attractions...

News Improvements coming to the entrances of all four Walt Disney World theme parks

Bus route into DAK will stay the same. Bus loading will also not change. All the changes to the entry experience will be after you've exited the bus and bus station area.

Ketchup and Mustard Pumps Removed at Casey’s Corner

    September 29th, during MNSSHP, footlongs-yes, condiment pumps-no.

    News Tomorrowland love

Yes x 100. While the DL version of SM is really smooth, I find the layout generally boring. Straightaway, sharp turn, straightaway, sharp turn, etc. The MK version, if you don't know it, keeps you guessing. In complete darkness, as it was when I rode during MNSSHP, it's brilliant. With...

MSEP to Return to WDW for 50th Celebration?

I hate that they added the 4th beat (the music is in bars of 4 beats, not 2) to the newer version. To top it off, the Alice in Wonderland theme, layered on top, is wrong now. Someone was asleep at the wheel. In reference to a preferred nighttime parade for the 50th, if it were up to me, I'd...
