New to Disney World resorts - how to choose?

Yeah, I agree, we won't use all five days at Universal. It's just that we need the park hopper to do the Hogwarts train, and it's $170 for the one-day hopper and $248 for the two-day two-park hopper. I can get the five-day 2-park hopper for only $253.

    Tomorrowland fireworks dessert party

Is there an ideal time to make this reservation? I see that a 7:45 pm reservation is available, but that seems awfully early.

We have five days. How many at each park?

We have five days for Disney. How many days should we spend at each park? I was thinking two days for MK, one day for AK, one day for Epcot and one day for Hollywood Studios. We are likely getting park hopper tickets, so that we can move around each day. But I want to make sure that we're...

What are the best rides for a 10-year-old boy?

he's been on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland and it terrified him. I reminded him he was six when he did it, and now he's 10. but he's convinced he's still a non-rollercoaster kinda kid. He also said that Splash Mountain is too scary for him. he's terrified of heights. I think...

What are the best rides for a 10-year-old boy?

I've never been to WDW/Magic Kingdom. I'm taking my 10-year-old son there in June. What are the must-do rides? He's afraid of rollercoasters, for whatever that's worth.

Need help with itinerary - first time visitor to WDW

Oh, and the park hopper 5-day for Disney is part of the deal of buy 4 days, get 1 free, but if you don't do the park hopper, you don't get the fifth day free. So it's $434 for a 5-day park hopper and $373 for 5 days one park per day. $62 more per person for the hopper feature.

Need help with itinerary - first time visitor to WDW

That's a really good deal. My company offers a 5-day 2 park pass for $253. The annual basic pass is $284 per person. So it's not much more. I just don't see myself returning to Orlando in the next year and that is still $87 more for three passes. hmmmm....

New to Disney World resorts - how to choose?

Thanks for your input! Yes, we are staying the first two nights at WL, not Fort Wilderness. It looks so gorgeous. I can't wait. I will look into the other three. The Beach Club is really beautiful. It keeps drawing my attention. I wanted to make sure it has enough Disney-esque qualities to...

Need help with itinerary - first time visitor to WDW

Thanks for your input. It probably is too enthusiastic. I need to make sure I come up with a reasonable schedule for everyone. On the days I'm working, they can pretty much do whatever they want, which might just be swimming at the hotel pool Luckily the Hyatt has a really nice one. Not...

New to Disney World resorts - how to choose?

Thanks for the input! I'm still trying to flesh out exactly where we will spend our final three days. Probably one will be at Universal, and I see that there is an extra hour on the Friday we have, for Magic Kingdom, so we have to take advantage of that (or do we? Is that a true benefit?)

Need help with itinerary - first time visitor to WDW

I need help figuring out my schedule for my first-ever visit to WDW. I'm traveling in June with my husband and 10-year-old son. I'm tying our trip into a business conference I'm attending. We will be buying five-day park hopper passes for both Universal and Disney, because I get discounts...

New to Disney World resorts - how to choose?

I've been to Disneyland many times, but this is my first time to Disney World. I'm traveling with my husband and our 10-year-old son. This is also his first visit to Disney World. I need help figuring out where to stay. I'm willing to spend up to $450 a night on our hotel, but less is good if a...
