    Signature Drink at Gaston's

Johnny Appleseed, American folk hero. For the Tavern, it should be played up as "cider," not "juice." Cider has an historical association with Brittany and Normandy. Mangos and passion fruit don't have such an association. x_x Hence, the foam topping is all wrong, actually kind of insulting...

    Signature Drink at Gaston's

Why not double-down on the cinnamon flavor? If the base is an apple juice, why not a spiced apple & cinnamon juice ("cider") with a HONEY foam emulsion on top? That'd be delicious and somewhat authentic to its thematic European environs. Mead/cider-like.

    Signature Drink at Gaston's

Good point. They're not found in the original content that is the ultimate underpinning for a particular themed land, they're just drinks concocted by culinary grads with an eye for chichi fashionable Hollywoodesque trends like fruit flavoured foam that can add on the $$ premium to the price.

This fruit juice + fruit foam fad is going to fizzle out fairly soon... Alliteration intended.

    Disneylanders/ Californians meet-up

Art Center in Pasadena. Umm, nah, feels really comfortable here, we're like totally used to it already. Hehehehe and yeah, we had to get the Premium, for the free parking and no blackout dates. We felt cornered. Ya dig? The Grove/Farmer's Market sounds like the best option, I would...

    Disneylanders/ Californians meet-up

Just about a month. I had visited LA once before in 2000, and fell in love. He's starting school over here in a couple weeks, I came out with him (we're from RI) to split the rent and give it a shot. We timed everything perfectly: At D-Land on the 17th last month to buy our APs. So they would be...

    Disneylanders/ Californians meet-up

My brother (he's a bit of a lurker on this site) and I just moved to Glendale. This is something he might be interested in, I'll have to ask him. :) And yeah, we're right up the road from the "Tam." Really cool place, looks like a scaled-up Toad Hall inside and out. In fact, that's the dish I...

    Maleficent Dragon Costume?

Idk lol. I'm going to go with 'artistic license.' Which, incidentally, I have a similar gripe. Just saw the Aladdin show at DCA the other day. There's a set piece featuring a gigantic crescent moon. And THERE ARE FIBER OPTIC STARS within the darkened portion of the crescent moon! Uhhh... That's...

A Salute To The Sandwich Bag

I usually round up some Ziploc bags the night before and stuff 'em in my carryon. They get use. Bob brought a tear to my eye... *proceeds to cry*

    Crane up behind France Pavilion

That's probably the worst place for a crane to be visible at daylight. Hahahaha forced perspective much?

    Anyone ever sent a coconut???

That's where I saw 'em a couple weeks ago. I looked at them in the barrel on the floor, and thought, Wat? Nice to know that postage is indeed included. Though I wonder if you need to use a Sharpie marker to actually write the address as opposed to a regular ballpoint pen. I would think so...

Am I the only one who LOVES Hollywood Studios?

Replace the BAH with the Catwalk Bar and we'd be getting somewhere... ;) But no, MGM (that's what I will always call it, official name change notwithstanding) has grown on me recently. It's the only park that doesn't have a fully symmetric plan, which lends it its own certain charm, unlike the...
