Was looking at the Washington radar last night and saw a band of precip going about a half-inch an hour. If the usual conversion of 0.1 inches of rain = 1 inch of snow is to be believed, that's a 5 in/hr snowfall rate and thus can likely be described as imminent highway pinball.
