The network showed the luge crash in full just before the ceremonies with millions of families watching. Go NBC. :rolleyes:

I did both. :lol: I love Internet commenters. Within 10 minutes of the segment, I saw one blogger write, "Why the hell did they put Irish fiddling in the middle of a Canadian ceremony?" :rolleyes:

They've been doing that everywhere; I know at least one time, a protester ran up and knocked down a torchbearer. :rolleyes: Overall a fantastic ceremony. Sucks about the 4th pillar, but hey, whaddaya gonna do. :lol:

When defining Canada you might list some statistics you might mention our tallest building or biggest lake you might shake a tree in the fall and call a red leaf Canada you might rattle off some celebrities might mention Buffy Sainte-Marie might even mention the fact that we've got a few...

^Thanks! (And yeah, it's Dan. :lol: ) Is it just me, or does anyone else hate NBC's Olympic coverage? They talk through EVERYTHING. They even talked through John Williams' entire performance of Call of the Champions in 2002 (heard in Post #1); never forgave them after that.

Being from Canada it's a big thing. My friend actually got to carry the Olympic torch on Christmas Eve... and on technicality, since it was still lit for a good three minutes after the handoff, I did too. :D Sadly, I won't be in Canada for the Games... apparently an education comes first or...
