My sentiments exactly. Great post, this describes the old way of Imagineering, where every element has a purpose within the story. I fear for that aspect of attractions now. The stillness of the Mansion on approach is very important to the story and overall journey of the attraction.

The idea of the mansion seeming quiet and deserted as you approach it adds to the build-up of going inside and having things revealed slowly, until Madame Leota finally intervenes and the ghosts appear. Yeah, that's correct. Don Rickles recorded a large number of lines for Mr. Potato Head. A CM controls and chooses which lines are used every day depending on who's in the crowd, what they're wearing, etc.

That's what I thought as well. But alas, there were very light crowds on Sun., walked on Splash and Space Mountain, and SW was at 25 minutes. I was pretty suprised. :confused:

I've got a great idea for a new celebration: Fix Stuff! Make it happen, DWI's.

But you know, it's fun to check out the MK fireworks on Dec. 30. They do it exactly the same as they do on NYE, and while it is crowded, it's still not as bad as the next day. That's what I do, you still get to have a hand in the fun, and then I stay home the next day. :wave:
