News Spring Break and Easter 2021 crowd watch

We go down to WDW on the 24th. God do I hope this calendar stays the way it looks now!

News Magic Kingdom's Main Street Confectionery closing for refurbishment

Thankfully I'll be able to get there right before the doors close later this month. I do hope they take a nod from Disneyland Paris and make the space more time appropriate for Main Street. I imagine they will have more pre-packaged items. The days of buffets and non-packaged foods are over...

News 'Raya and the Last Dragon' offerings coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Very happy to read the benefit of your informed opinion. I'm sure the 60 seconds of total video we've seen on commercials is truly representative of every scene in a full-length movie. Personally, I absolutely detested Moby Dick. I could tell from the cover design of the edition I glanced...

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

Brightline has been successful in Florida and the new line connecting Orlando will go a long way to easing the great tourism wall that separates the middle of the state from Miami. The lines that have been operating between Miami, Palm Beach, etc.. have been doing well for short line travel...

I now know why this site has a weather forum

The sun is up, blue sky and 43 degrees in Virginia.

Disney is closing 20% of its brick-and-mortar Disney Stores before the end of the year

Disney needs to completely rethink it's online store. They could do so much more with parks items - not just in the U.S., but worldwide.

News Peter Pan's Flight exterior refurbishment - 2021

100% agree. Paris wins hands-down. The biggest problem with recreating it here would be the width of the walkways - far too narrow for an American audience.

EPCOT Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

Well for everyone complaining about the sightlines from the Guardians' show building, you're welcome.... Seriously though. These things are just massive. I need to see them in person later this month to truly pass judgment. Angles and focal length can play tricks on you. I hope that's the...

Rumor Tom Hanks rumored to be new narrator for the Carousel of Progress

True, but she wasn't limited to the FF. I know the rumors have been bouncing all around that the "aerospace engineer" mentioned in the earlier episode would be Reed Richards, etc... It's true the newly named character does have deep FF ties....doubt that means any more of a payoff.

Rumor Tom Hanks rumored to be new narrator for the Carousel of Progress

Wait, what? How did you connect the reveal last week to the FF?

Magic Kingdom TV Universe in Development at Disney+

Probably got bumped when he started working with Lucasfilm.

Walt Disney World Park Hours cut starting September 8 2020

I'm heading down the last week of March and hoping that the screwy school schedules around the country are going to disrupt the normal spring break crush of people.

Magic Kingdom TV Universe in Development at Disney+

Good to see the development people at Disney+ recognize the narrative treasure trove in the Parks themselves. I'm amazed it took this long.

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I agree - I have no idea about this, but could Disney use the silhouette of a building they don't own as the icon of a park?

    EPCOT World Showcase Hotels?

They did it in Tokyo. I'm sure they can figure it out. Just won't be easy.

    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

As long as they don't get rid of the time frame. The late '20's / early '30's theme just works for this - the same way the late '30's worked perfectly for Raiders of the Lost Arc. Don't lose that soundtrack!

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

For me, I am ok with that. My wife and I always do at least two Christmas parties in our normal park trips. It's just easier - some nice inclusions and relatively lower crowd levels.

Rumor OBJ reports that Disney may move some of its divisions from California to Orlando

No better way to stick it to tin pot dictator Gavin "I'm king of the world" Newsom. Yes, Disney, please join all of the other corporate behemoths moving whole cloth or in part outside of the state.
