News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I am questioning the timing of the announcement , not the build or first sale. I would bet the sales team hated this timing.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

From a sales perspective it made no sense to announce this tower till it was coming out of the ground. It muddies the "close" for their salespeople. More people will have indecision and hold off buying now than would have been the case before.

    Saratoga Spa

This spa was always booked solid. I don't own at Saratoga , but frequently used the spa. I really don't understand the thinking of removing this amenity from the largest DVC resort. We should all call and tell them to change the name!!

The “wealthy” is not going to work

I would argue that you can't double or triple the park pass to lower crowds and not bring back the late 80's 90's experience. People wouldn't make that purchase without the substance. They have shown no appetite for bring back the "Walt" guest experience.

The “wealthy” is not going to work

IMO it is actually the people who regularly vacation in the 1K-2.5K per night class of resort that know right away that they aren't getting the same from Disney. In the 80's and 90's yes. But for now they are still coming for the nostalgia and the park/children experience. For now......

    Saratoga Spa

I was told by Grand Floridian spa staff that the Saratoga spa is never re-opening. It has been torn out and converted to DVC offices. Such a shame, I loved using that spa.

    Disney Springs “security area” question

It's the added walking distance. Boats were going to the westside dock and the dock by Jock Lindsey's. I'll just keep tipping the uber drivers to drop me off in the lime garage.

What do you think about the 7DMT?

They shortened 7DMT and Navi river. Very foolish quarterly corporate earnings window dressing, that make for stunted rides that are around for 25-30 years.

Housekeeping door knocking at 8am on check-out days - what's going on?

No. I go 25 days a year. since reopening this has been happening.

    Disney Springs “security area” question

Oh wow. That ruins the boat ride for me. The dock by Jock's was so convenient.

    Disney Springs “security area” question

Are they scanning people coming to Disney springs on boats from the resorts? I haven't ridden one since covid.

Rumor lightyear update to the buzz actions in the parks.

My family and I like them both. We compete for score on both and ride them multiple times. you should try for over 400,000 on TSM , takes some skill and riding it many times.

Housekeeping door knocking at 8am on check-out days - what's going on?

They are ignoring the sign! and it doesn't say that anymore.

Housekeeping door knocking at 8am on check-out days - what's going on?

Last 2-3 trips they ignored the room occupied sign. I will try a extra large post-it note next trip. Still crazy to have to do this in a $1600 room.

Housekeeping door knocking at 8am on check-out days - what's going on?

Why are you being purposefully obtuse? Surely you agree people have a right to sleep in undisturbed. As long as they are leaving by the stated check out time ,this is bad customer service and rude.

News Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian closing for extended refurbishment June 2022

Transitional flooring. New lighting and fans. I agree they won't do anything to the bones.

News Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian closing for extended refurbishment June 2022

I don't like heavy IP usage in the resorts either. But I have to say Citrico's is the best restaurant make over they have done in many ,many years. (foods good too.) We need to praise Disney when they get it right, not just complain.
