Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

It's completely torn up right now for construction and behind construction walls.

Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

I wonder if Disney will build sea walls at the beaches now, so that there is a defined drop off but no longer a need for a fence? This way you still have the appearance of a beach without an unsightly barrier. Think the Wilderness Lodge:

From the OS: Gator drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon

Some of these also mention Florida law on wild life attacks. It's not an open and shut case as this has never happened before and Florida is not California. If the family were to sue, I hope for their benefit that they can work out a reasonable settlement with Disney. If Disney decides to try...

Changes at WDW due to alligator attack (dedicated thread)

I wonder if they'll address the Croc that has Brer Fox's tail in his mouth at the end of Splash Mountain? I can't imagine them altering an AA. They might just be grabbing at the low hanging fruit until enough time has passed.

From the OS: Gator drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon

Nine figures?! On what planet do you think Disney would pay out $100 million dollars? This whole thing is horrible, but you're beyond absurd with your legal opinions.

From the OS: Gator drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon

I've seen it mentioned elsewhere that Florida law doesn't pass liability to landowners for wild animal attacks on guests. There is also case law that "No Swimming" signs is sufficient warning for alligator attacks, etc. Being "negligent" would require some lack of care on Disney's part, here...

    DVC in California

We love GCV and stayed in a 1BR on our last trip back in January. We had to book right on the 7 month window. We were trying for a studio, but they were already gone, so we went with a 1BR. We were glad we did as we ended up enjoying having the extra space. Unlike WDW where we rarely...

    Disneyland 60th Anniversary Special

I can't get the applause app to work. Sounded neat, oh well. A bit too much general Disney plugs and not enough Disneyland

    NEW Soarin Over California?!? o_O

First time to DCA was this year and I really enjoyed it, particularly the Grizzly Peak area. The Hollywood section could really use some work, but from what I've read that section is the last holdover from DCA 1.0.

Finally taking a trip to Disneyland

DLR to me feels like WDW of the late 90s/early 00's, when it was clean, fun and enjoyable. You didn't need to over plan and you could get fast passes at your convenience.

Finally taking a trip to Disneyland

Awesome! Our story is the same, my wife and I visited DLR by ourselves last year (Jan, 2015) and loved it so much that we brought our kids last week. I'll cherish our memories at WDW, but for now our family will be sticking with DLR. Have a blast on your trip!

Finally taking a trip to Disneyland

Major WDW Vets here, but stopped going after our 2013 trip for many reasons. Tried out DLR last year and loved it and decided to take our 3 kids this time for a week vacation. They loved it too. The best part of the whole trip? We didn't end our vacation exhausted! We ended it completely...

Final Performance of Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular

So glad I was able to catch this last week during our trip. First time I had seen it and it was a great show.

    Disneyland feral cat pictures

We saw one last week in the queue at BTMR and another one by the Disneyland Hotel.

    On property vs. Off Property

GCH fans here, we'll be staying there the first week of January. We stayed off site during our last trip and,as WDW vets, we missed the immersion of being at a Disney hotel and right on property.

That effect was working this past January when I was there. It looked great!

    WDW 45th Anniversary

I don't think 45 will get anything special. The big 50 will be the next big celebration.

    Best Resort for the Money

Wilderness Lodge here as well. We like POR too, but really prefer having a balcony. Wilderness will have some construction going on that starts next month and continues through 2016, so keep that in mind if that's an issue for you. I think it's more of an impact on the DVC villas than the...

But it's a "deluxe" resort! Your post topic didn't specify just WDW resorts...just asked what's your favorite deluxe resort ;) :p
