What makes it interesting is that it has to be towed by the much smaller boats as you can see in that photo since there is no track on the 7 seas lagoon. I bet it took a while for it to be towed and I wonder if they delayed the Ferry boats departures during this time.

Tiki Room on a busy day plays to full capacity shows during the peak times of 11 to 1800 which is pretty good for a show and even on slower days, still plays to pretty decent shows. The only time we ever have little crowds at the Tiki Room is early in the morning or late in the evening.

Yes it will reopen on Saturday. It's just down right now for its annual Boiler Inspection.

In EPCOT: illuminations starts at 11:40 (regular illuminations) so 12 minutes then 8 minute NYE tag where they showcase all the countries in order of when they celebrated their New Years so China & Japan first then the European countries then they end with America/Mexico/Canada right at midnight.

Aladdin & Jasmine always ride the Magic Carpets with a family at 9:30 every day and sometimes randomally during the day.

Yes I do it just so the song makes sense. And Jose does say let's all give the birdies a standing ovation. I don't do it for numbers or because coordinators are pressuring us to turn over the show. It just makes sense in the song. I love being apart of the new show and is MUCH better than UNM...

Also every show reached capacity and there was people waiting by the turnstyles waiting to let them inside the pre-show area for the next show.

Having sat through 4 shows today with guests. The guests clapped after every song and everyone came out smiling and a lot of them were guests with 1st visit buttons.

It was my tradition too. But from now on, I will just hold a large sign with the current year on it too

Since I work the Magic Carpets, I can tell you that the Carpets can get twice as many people per hour compared to Dumbo so hence the shorter wait than Dumbo. It is defnitely as popular as Dumbo. Kids love it so families love it because it keeps their kids happy! I enjoy seeing the kids faces...

Alright there is still hope that the year will come back! I thought they got rid of the whole yellow wheel. It probably just takes awhile to fix the year piece perhaps? And obviously having the orig sign back in its place till it gets fixed is A LOT better than the temp sign they had before.

Walls are up blocking the entrance now. From what i've heard, they are changing the ramp up to the turnstyles because the previous rampway had so many ruts in it and just looked horribile. I'm sure they will change the turnstyles too because ever since the refurb, the birds have taken it over.

The thing is I can STILL do it, I just need to make my own sign on a giant piece of paper (so that the camera can see it) and do it then. It won't stop me! At least the sign itself didn't change!!! I live down in Florida now so it's really easy for me to take a new photo every year.
