DAK Na'vi River Journey reviews, comments and questions

Sorry you make too much of a VERY slow-moving, boring ride that offers nothing but pretty colors to look at and no real fun. How sad. No mistake at all to judge it on a YouTube video, nor is it silly. It shows the ride how it actually is, and how it actually is looks very disappointing. Such a...

DAK Na'vi River Journey reviews, comments and questions

Doesn't take any gall, because in some cases, depending on the nature of the ride, the YouTube video really gives you all you need to know. In this case, it does and shows how boring the Na'vi River ride really is.

Hey, I wouldn't go quite that far......

DAK Na'vi River Journey reviews, comments and questions

No, nor do I need to. I've seen enough from the ride-through video.

DAK Na'vi River Journey reviews, comments and questions

Not sure I can even agree with that one, at least the Tea Cups is a fun ride. There's nothing fun here.

DAK Na'vi River Journey reviews, comments and questions

Just finished watching the entire ride-through video. I'm not sure if "disappointed" is a strong enough description of how I feel after seeing that ride. I'm going to start with the positives: I give the imagineers and others involved in the technical aspects (lightwork, animatronics...

    Scariest Disney Attraction?

Personally, I don't consider any of those on the list to be "scary", but I did select Space Mtn because if people who typically have their hands up in the air on roller coasters knew how close they'd come to losing them if they did it on SM, they'd be scared. I might have chosen Haunted Mansion...

    POLL: Favorite Disney Parks Song

Out of all the choices on the list, I had to go with the Soarin' theme. Why? Probably because the entrance and exit music to Space Mtn wasn't an option. I was also very tempted to choose Area Music as I love the Tomorrowland Music Loop and Epcot's Future World Music Loop too.

    Sci Fi Dine In

Sci-Fi Diner can be a big tight as far as the seating goes, and that coming from a 5'6 somewhat-slender guy. As far as the food and experience are concerned, it's definitely good to do at least once, but the food isn't good enough to go back to.....save for the milkshakes.

How do we feel about Crystal Palace?

Crystal Palace is always a must-do for us, but.....only for breakfast. Lunch and dinner are generally mis-fires, but their breakfast is really good.

What to wear in Disney World

Loose-fitting shorts and t-shirts (or tank-tops) and comfortable sneakers or sandals. Try to avoid black or dark colors as it attracts the heat.

The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History'

Just finished watching the video. I have to say it's definitely a great use of the Muppets and a nice addition to little ol' Liberty Square. Was anyone else just waiting for a live actor to come out on that balcony? Could have used Sweetums or something, or even Statler & Waldorf somewhere in...

    poly vs wilderness lodge

There is definitely a price difference (Poly = more $), but if you can do it, I'd pick the Polynesian. Both are beautifully themed, are in a great location, but the Poly being on the monorail line is a huge plus.

MK Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

So......we're going with limited-runs only of SGE, with possibly a changeover to a WIR theme? Between that idea and the one of Guardians taking over Universe of Energy and turning it into a coaster, is this Disney's way of saying they're doing away with themed lands? WIR has nothing to do with...

Back to Disney World after 6 years, fill me in please

Nice list. I just remembered as soon as I read the opening post of this thread that my last trip to WDW was 4 years ago (I think the start was 4 years ago today), and it was within 3-4 days when they started doing the staggered, brief openings of New Fantasyland. We missed out on that, and by...

Getting a good room at WL

Sometimes you can fax in a room request (it still works though some will tell you they don't pay attention to them anymore) and ask that if possible you be placed in a certain area. Otherwise, I don't bother because every room is fine and I'm only really in it for sleeping and not much else.

    Disney Caribbean Beach Resort:

I've stayed at one resort other than any on the deluxe list, and it happened to be Caribbean Beach. The short of it is: I wouldn't want to stay there again. The reasons: Too far a walk from our room to the main shopping/dining area especially if filling up your refillable mugs. Took too long...
