How is Rope Drop these days?

How hard was it to get a Lyft? Did you book ahead of time? Cost? I had thought of trying to get a lift to Boardwalk or Swan/Dolphin then walking for Studios. And to Contemporary for MK. So they were letting you get dropped off there?

Reservation system here to stay? Update from Josh D'Amaro

We have really gotten used to park hopping. As folks said we like going to dinner at Epcot more than once. We have definitely done 3 parks in 1 day. Last trip when most of our group wanted a mid day break DH and I went to Epcot to walk the countries and get a snack. We had already been to...

What's your party size threshold for traveling to and touring WDW for say 7 nights.

I forgot to add with YOUNG kids extra adults can be nice. My parents have watched the kids while we went out to dinner. My mom is not a crazy ride person, she has taken the kids to a playground while my dad, hubby and I ride a ride. And even stayed with the kids while they napped while we...

What's your party size threshold for traveling to and touring WDW for say 7 nights.

We have done just the 4 of us. Us and my parents (6) and us and another family that brought us up to 10. All of those trips were GREAT!!! When we had more than just the 4 of us we typically had dinner planned where all of us were eating together. Even with as few as 4 we have separated some...

Back to the Future vs The Simpsons ride

I never got to ride the Back to the Future ride but I hate the Simpson's ride because it is the ONLY simulator ride at all of Disney and Universal that makes me ill. I will never ride it again. They actually stopped our car and let us off as I was turning green before it was over and they...

Should certain groups be given priority to attend the parks?

I agree We are the folks who typically get up early and are there are rope drop. (yes we stay on property). But if you told me that I would spend all that money to stay on Disney property and I would have to HOPE I could get in.....nope not going. When it comes to parks meeting capacity they...

    AKL Transportation

I don't see anything happening anytime soon but I wish they would. We LOVE the animal Kingdom lodge. But the transportation is a drawback.

Statements about WDW that grind your gears

"Disney is too commercial." "Disney is only about the money." We have good friends who's children are now grown who never took them to Disney because the Dad had this negative attitude. Did they go to other amusement parks - yes. Fair and Festival's - yes. When I go to a fair that is MOSTLY...

    April trips canceled by Disney?

We are the same. We have a trip in April that is my daughter's senior year trip so I have been holding off cancelling even though I know we won't be able to go. Our trip is April 12th and it has not been cancelled by Disney yet

Unnecessary harsh treatment of children in public spaces at WDW

So I agree with the parents saying you need to discipline kids when they are doing the act especially young kids. Even my teenager immediately works better, of course now it’s stop x or you’ll be grounded, etc. Saying you should wait until you are back to your hotel is ridiculous. Could I feel...

Would it be better with no standby lines?

The only thing I wish they would change is giving the 60 day window to non-Disney hotels. I liked the old run around and get the fastpasses - I got a lot more steps so I could get that dole whip!!! Universal pass for hotel guests is only for the 3 more expensive hotels or you have to buy it...

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run Vs. Star Tours

Just came back from Disneyland and doing SR for the first time. Both my daughter and I were assigned engineer and we found the ride BORING. I get motion sickness and was fine. Our pilots were OK bu no one knew what they were doing. As engineer, I pressed any buttons that lit up but again...

DHS Millennium Falcon Ride - How crazy

How crazy is the millennium falcon ride. Lets say your "pilot" stinks. I get motion sick and don't really like roller coasters. But I can take Star Tours, FOP and the mile version of Mission Space. In general I can handle simulation rides as long as things are synced up right.

What is the worst ride in Hollywood Studios? (Quality-wise)

Epcot: Beat soarin Worst - 3 cabaleros Yeah figment and Nemo are not grat Studios Best - TSM ( our whole family loves it) Worst: alien auger swirl Animal Kingdom Best - Flights of Passage Worst - primeval wheel Magic kimgdom Well love so many!!! Overrated - mine train. We skipped the...

For the foodies out there - what are the best restaurants in WDW?

Have a good BlueZoo story. The food was very good but hubby will NEVER go back. They brought out our main meal. They were making a big show of it lifting the lids at the same time. Hubby had ordered something with this orange sauce. The sauce wasn’t on it. The waitress took the sauce and...

For the foodies out there - what are the best restaurants in WDW?

Leon. Curious intern of MK have you tried the Skipper? BOG like Sci-Fi is fun. (Going to both next trip). We think Skipper has the best food in the park

Are you a WDW loyalist or another type?

My family and coworkers call me a Disney fanatic. I don’t think I am but I do LOVE WDW. I spend time on sites like this planning and just love being at WDW. Hubby says WDW is a resort, the rest including DL are amusement parks. Both against them we really enjoy them but even though our WDW...

For the foodies out there - what are the best restaurants in WDW?

California Grill was not great when we went there but someone said that and I’ve heard they have improved. I want to try it again but have to admit my family has resisted. Yachtsman 12 years ago. 2nd worst meal (and I am talking food quality) we ever had at Disney. Second only to coral reef...

    Monsieur Paul

We are at Flying Fish about 6 years ago. I was considering that one. Memory was like Narcoossee’s good but we didn’t rush back there the next couple of trips. It gets had for instance we ate at the top of the contemporary 12 years ago and did NOT like it. We thought the food was mediocre and...

What would you recommend trip planners NOT use this site for?

My favorite reviewer is Tom at disneytouristblog.com. Hubby complains that the articles are too long but he goes into WHY he likes or doesn’t like things. He accepts that different people have different taste. I love the people who think whatever they think is right. Even just folks you talk...
