Will Disney Parks ever go cashless and just take debit and credit cards?

What I am talking about happens after society is pushed totally cashless.. your money has to sit in some financial institution somewhere... What if they institute a negative interest rate? or a $100 monthly fee for your account? You get angry and move your money where? The government plays a...

Will Disney Parks ever go cashless and just take debit and credit cards?

DANGER !!!! NEVER ALLOW A CASHLESS SOCIETY !!!! Force all businesses to accept cash... If they succeed in creating a cashless society... we all lose big time.. 1. Banks can now charge a negative interest rate which subjects all you money to it.. 2. if you sell you old lawn mower to your...

News Unpaid Walt Disney World construction bills

My ABC quip is a disguised shot at the fact that I don't like Disney owning anything in the news industry, they are already too influential in the public sphere with movies and TV shows. 6 major companies own about 90% of the news outlets and frankly I'm not on board with that....

News Unpaid Walt Disney World construction bills

Yeah, I'm not saying that they on the verge of collapse or anything, but shutting down EPCOT for 3 months should have been the dream come true on the construction end as far as knocking out the innovations area project, only to shutter it shows that there is some concern about money.

News Unpaid Walt Disney World construction bills

This alone means nothing, but couple it to the financial moves made in early May, as well with the halt of construction during the pandemic, looks like a liquidity problem. I hope this drives them into selling off some of its subsidiaries.. (ABC comes to mind), but thats a pipe dream (mine)

If your favorite WDW attraction were removed...

I would say that I would stop going, because I already hit that point... last trip 4 years ago, next trip will be in the future perhaps between 5 to 20 years..

The Troubled History of Epcot’s Abandoned World Showcase

It actually shows great insight on Disney's part.... look how easy it will be to convert SSE into the 'Death Star'

The Walt Disney Company Raises $11 Billion in New Debt

What you said makes sense, I will still raise you a dollar.... encompassing all you said, cheap money etc... you would agree that a financially healthy Disney would jump at this chance to complete the EPCOT projects. No more shuffling temporary passage ways and can work totally unobstructed...

The Walt Disney Company Raises $11 Billion in New Debt

I am not so sure.. I am no way a financial wizard But, the article said to bolster liquidity.. and they are doing it with Moody's rating them A2, if they were truly no concern, then they would be Aaa, but A2 would be more a like a very small risk borrower.. If they need to bolster again before...

Abigail Disney's Twitter thread on Executive pay and furloughing Cast Members during COVID-19

Certainly a possibility, but I look at shows like America Funniest Videos and I see the Disney hand prints on it, looking at shows 20+ years past, I noticed that they shuffle the audience for uniformity (every time you see audience people have moved, you see 2 minorities sitting together, then...

Abigail Disney's Twitter thread on Executive pay and furloughing Cast Members during COVID-19

I wrote about this in another thread about Disney pricing and I said they should get what ever people were willing to pay for a ticket (raise prices as long as people still paid) and bank money for future events.. If Disney invested capital in stock buy back, then that was stupid and short...

Refunds or cancellations of Disney World Annual Passes

What I think will happen when everything opens up Disney will add 3 months to the expiration to the AP and those renewing their pass will get 15 months instead of 12. Why do I say this? After 911 and during the 2008 financial melt down and I renewed my pass, they gave 15 months. They have a...

Refunds or cancellations of Disney World Annual Passes

This will flip people but, you bought an AP for $600(example) for the year, Oh you don't have $600, don't worry says Disney, you can pay monthly ($50).... Thats the deal, you are not paying $50/mo membership to go to WDW. If Disney holds true, I bet they will throw people 3 months free, like...
