Ideas for couple in their mid-20's

I've never had any trouble (although I've only done it once), but like you I've walked around that entire area with a drink and never had issues. And although we did settle on one location, many others were scouted lol, and all were good options. Some of them were on the grass near International...

Ideas for couple in their mid-20's

If none of the bars/lounges work out, you can always grab a bottle of wine from France or Italy in Epcot and have a picnic anywhere you'd like. There are tons of great spots for this all around the Epcot resort area, and some can be pretty private.

Top of the World Bar at Bay Lake Tower

Thanks for the info. That's too bad though, I'd really like to check it out.

    Dwarfs Roller Coaster Speed

I'm actually more concerned with substance over speed. I hope it's more than a coaster through some dark tunnels. But the concept art looks as though the mines will be pretty cool inside, and hopefully there will be some parts that slow down with elaborate scenes.

Top of the World Bar at Bay Lake Tower

Hello everyone, quick question: Can anyone go hang out at the Top of the World bar at BLT, or do you have to be a vacation club member or resort guest? If so, can you go up to California Grill just for a drink? I've been for dinner before, and I remember having to be escorted by a cast member...

Should Disney offer " Frequent Guest" Perks?

Well when I stay at the Swan and Dolphin, I get points to a Preferred Guest account (free to join). After a certain number of points, you can redeem them for things like a free night, half off rack rates, etc. It does take a ton of points to get anything substantial, but it does work. It would...

    Long Exposure Photos

Tom you're a great photographer, I follow you on Flickr (along with Jeff B and all the other "masters"). I'd like to learn more about photography when I have the time, I mess around with my point & shoot, but I really need to buy a book or something. But even being an amateur, I've spent hours...

New Countries Being Added to Epcot?

Of course they are important, but letting a theme park decay while waiting for one to magically come forward is not the answer. And again, every other park does not use this model. Nobody sponsored Tower of Terror, Everest, etc. and these huge, expensive attractions were still built. A new WS...

New Countries Being Added to Epcot?

I'm not sure if it's bias, Europe just has a very high concentration of different unique nations/cultures that have been very influential.

New Countries Being Added to Epcot?

Haha. If they CAN get sponsors that's fine, but if they can't, it's sad to see pavilions rotting away so Disney doesn't have to finance something. Look at WOL, it's already built and has running attractions, but sits empty because the sponsor pulled out. That doesn't make sense.

New Countries Being Added to Epcot?

I think Greece would be a great addition. India, Nepal, Africa, etc. have already been done in AK, we don't need them in Epcot. They are more rustic atmospheres that fit better in that park. Epcot is far from rustic in any way. I'm definitely not discrediting Raven, but if that's Disney's plan...

    Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Discussion

I'm hoping there are no cutouts. If this is more of a dark ride, I hope it's a high caliber one like Spaceship Earth, not SWSA.

    New Fantasyland details/concept drawings!

Hey I have a question about TLM undersea ride and the mine cart ride. The only info I can find on these are one-sentence descriptions. Is Mermaid just a typical dark ride, or does it have some new and exciting hook? As for the mine cart ride, is this a small coaster like BTMR, or more of a dark...

Swan and Dolphin or a deluxe

The Swan and the Dolphin are great hotels. I have never stayed at Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club, however I have stayed at several other Disney resorts, and to be honest there is not much difference. Both Swan and Dolphin have Disney gift shops, Extra Magic Hours, Disney transportation...

    Swan- any thoughts?

I stay at the Swan or Dolphin basically every time I visit WDW, and I have never had a bad experience. The location is perfect, and the price is much lower than other Epcot area resorts. They both have really great restaurants, and Kimono's at the Swan can be really fun at night (if you like...

If there was ever to be a 5th gate, what would it be?

Great idea. Some of my favorite attractions are the ones that take you through history (SSE, AA). It would be cool to walk through all of the above-mentioned places, and the ride ideas would be endless.

    Themed Lands

As amazing as WWoHP looks, I don't think it's wise to make an entire land based on one franchise. Historically, Disney has never done that, even with its largest franchises (to my knowledge). Star Wars would be cool though, or maybe something based on Neverland/Peter and the Starcatchers.

What obscure location in “the world” has special meaning for you?

That spot walking from the Epcot resort area into Epcot... the lower path under the bridge where nobody seems to walk. I like to hang out there and watch the boats go by. Paris to the left, Boardwalk to the right. Perfect.

Shouldn't this be the future of the WDW Monorails?

In my opinion, that video just showed what Disney already has had for years, just with a slightly more modern look.

What is the Best kept Secret Dining Location at WDW?

I agree on Citricos, and I also like Il Mulino in the Swan. Always seems empty when I go, but the food is great.
