I was able to request mine off. Unless it's around the holidays or block out dates it's a pretty easy system to request a day off when necessary.

I'm sure she was a street performer; I'm guessing you were there mid-day? There are lots of "hidden" doors that really blend in to the walls around ToT and HM so maybe she just slipped through one to get backstage quickly, especially if she saw that you saw her not full-on performing.

Well I think it's charming and it's something my family and I have done every year of my life, so it's a treasure to me.
