We are thinking about hitting this bar on our upcoming trip. I am sure they do, but can I bring my 6 year old there?

Pre-Trip 200 is WAY better than 1500- Pretrip

Here is my first pre-trip report....for a trip I have been eyeing for years and years! My last trip was in 2019 and was just a long weekend. My wife and I went and loosely figured out a time frame to take our daughter. We decided age 6 would be the best time. I am also a DVC member and saw that...

    AKL savanna view… blown away!

I love this resort. I am very lucky to have DVC at Jambo house and if the lobby is not enough, you can then walk right out into the savanna. The room views are amazing. I am so glad that you loved it! I know AKL gets some hate because of how far it is,and boy is it, but it also offers great...

    Jambo House

Thanks so much! Our home is Jambo but this trip is a big one. I have been looking into it for years now and its finally coming up

    Jambo House

I think I am getting everything in line for our upcoming trip. One question that I do have......Does Jambo house supply laundry detergent in the DVC rooms? And if so how much? I am wondering if I need to buy some with our grocery delivery; or will what they have cover a few loads

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

I just booked my first trip in 4 years. I have my room booked, so I went ahead and got the tickets......before those get more expensive. I also did park passes. The process was pretty annoying for 6 days. Granted its done and I am sure things will need to be updated; but it was just annoying. I...

How Many Days for You? Part 12

I finally dont look like a crazy person with planning over 500-600 days out; I think when I picked the date we were at 1400 days. We are now at 347 and looking to book our hotel in a few weeks. 2 bedroom savanna view at Jambo house. It will be my daughters first time down there. She will be six...

    Booking Windows

One last question on this......What time do the phone lines open to book your resort? I am a DVC member and cant find that info. I thought I read somewhere it was 6am.

    Booking Windows

Thanks for the info! I see that I can buy tickets, and make reservations, for our trip. I still have a few things to go over with the misses about what kind of ticket we want and for how many days. Maybe once I actually book the hotel I can pull the trigger on tickets

    Booking Windows

I am just about 2 months out from booking our trip in September of next year. The hotel is the easy one, but here are my questions.... When can I book tickets, and park reservations? Is it still 60 days out for dining? We are not doing Genie+, this time at least. How far out can I book...

    Disney Surprise

We are doing something similar for our daughter next year. Here is what we have going on. We are going to make up a gift box, with a Magicband, pins, first trip button, a shirt, ears, and who knows what else. We are also going to hire an actress to play one of the princesses and deliver this...

Mears Connect / Sunshine Flyer / Uber

Interesting, I didnt think about the private car service. My daughter would love that sign thing too. She will be 6 when we go, so I am thinking she would be fine with either a booster, or nothing. I guess we will see what happens when we go next year. Who knows, maybe they will bring back...

Mears Connect / Sunshine Flyer / Uber

One factor that I forgot to mention is the need for a car seat. Do most ride share's have a car seat in them? Bringing one with is not an option. Or is there a loophole that kids are not required to use a car seat in one of those cars?

Mears Connect / Sunshine Flyer / Uber

I am interested in the responses on this one. I guess it comes down to experience versus speed. I would prefer to not take a ride share, but it gets us to the hotel a lot faster; in most cases. I would rather have a good experience to kick off the trip, but that also cuts into time on property...

The “wealthy” is not going to work

My fees have not changed in the 14 years of owning it. Its not for everyone though. I bought into it because I was going all the time. Then I didnt go for about 7 years. So I was seeing it as a waste. I almost sold a few times but always backed out. Now that I have a family I am glad I got it...

The “wealthy” is not going to work

I somewhat agree that Disney is pricing itself out for a lot of families. This may be a different way to look at how to save money on your trip. I bought into DVC on 08. It was a 10 year loan. Since then I have brokered out those points a few times and have pretty much made my money back, on top...

Potential Solo Visit to WDW - Oct 2022

I have done a solo trip and it was one of the best trips I did down there. I was able to do anything I wanted, whenever I wanted to, and did not have to feel like I was being pushy about it. I love to bounce around parks, which is not for everyone, but it was nice to start at one park and then...
