    Passholder rant

Update. At the advice of some in this thread, I did go ahead and send an email to Jeff Vahle. And surprisingly, I received a call back from someone in his office the same day. They apologized and agreed that I should have been able to purchase the pass given that my son never had previous...

    Passholder rant

Wife and I have been passholders for 15 years now and currently have the FL resident pirate pass, which is not available for sale at the moment. We have a 4 year old son and when we inquired about adding a pass for him, were told at some point during our renewal process during covid that when...

    Are ALL resorts sold out!?

Have you checked Swan and Dolphin for availability? I know they're not "Disney" owned and operated, but have just as good of access to and from the parks for naps.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I only tend to pay attention to the local stuff here in South Florida. By all reports cases are definitely up, but haven’t seen any news stories or articles about hospitals being flooded. I personally know 4 people that tested positive in the last month that live in Broward and Dade. 3...

As long as hospitalizations and deaths don’t skyrocket, they won’t.

Always made my hands feel super soft afterwards. Like a body scrub but for your hands. It did feel like rubbing your hands with sandpaper though.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

As to be expected. But let me get this clear. You're upset that you caught covid for the second time, even after visiting one of the most populated places in the world and with all the mitigations you took? Glad it was just the sniffles/cold like symptoms. Which seems to be the norm for 99.9%...

    Character dining back open?

So a Disney blogger I follow on Instagram was eating breakfast at Topolino Terrace yesterday and posted stories of characters being there and taking pictures with her at her table. Is this the only character dining that is in operation? I haven’t heard or seen of any others i.e Chef Mickey’s...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Yesterday we received notification that a child in our son’s preschool class tested positive for Covid and the class was resuming business as usual. For Alpha and Delta, the class would have been shut down for 7+ days.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

You think Disney would want to willingly set up shop in another east coast state just to spit in Ron's face? I certainly could see them cancelling the project and remaining to stay in CA. But moving the new HQ anywhere out of CA or FL makes zero sense.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I didn’t want to get boosted, but my company issued a booster mandate during the height of omicron for those wanting to go back into the office, which I wanted in another attempt to get “back to normal.” They dropped the booster requirement a month ago, which to me makes zero sense because...

Update and Thank You/The Swan/Bonvoy Points

SPG used to have the best value when it comes to point values and rewards and it all went to junk when Marriott took over and moved to Bonvoy. This is why I primarily use Hilton now and we stay at either the Waldorf or Signia in Bonnet Creek.

Update and Thank You/The Swan/Bonvoy Points

If your husband really wants to maximize his Bonvoy points/status he should consider getting one of the Bonvoy credit card offerings. I’d recommend either one of the Amex options, as they really can allow you to build up a lot of points and come with Bonvoy status benefits.

Update and Thank You/The Swan/Bonvoy Points

We use points to stay at the swan/dolphin quite often and the process couldn’t be easier. You can use points for your entire stay if you like, depending on if you have enough points and they have the availability for you to use points. Remember that hotels only block so many rooms to be used...
