Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

Making it A, 3, B? That would also seem odd... I'm curious now about when it was changed and why. It's definitely been letters for a while.

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

It was A and B last summer, at least.

Did you Miss the DISNEY love and perks from a Villa?

We rented a house for the first time because we had an unwieldy party (us, 3 kids, one grandpa and the other grandma) and would have needed multiple rooms - a four-bedroom house, 5 minutes from Animal Kingdom, with full kitchen and *private pool* was much less money. We keep it up because we...

Tiers with less than three FPs

How do tiers work now that you don't have to book 3 FPs to start with? Suppose I book Soarin' and don't have any other advance FPs. After I ride Soarin', can I book it again (if available) as if it were my 4th?

Where to eat in Disney Springs?

Do any of the new places take Tables in Wonderland? The website doesn't list anything new, but I don't know whether it's up to date.

Didn't Disney tell us they would give us an update on ROL at the end of May?

This promises an update on "nighttime experiences", not RoL specifically. I think the announcement of the Memorial Day opening was it.

    Rain ponchos?

After struggling with drying and storing them for several years, I now pack several sets of $1 ponchos and I'm much happier. But the 2-for-a-dollar ones didn't work out that well. They turned out to be head and shoulders only.

    East Parking Garage construction

Where is handicapped parking now? Is the lot near Cirque that used to be handicapped still there?

New Star Wars live stage show coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios this Spring

I wish they would keep up that painted ear... It doesn't seem like it would be that hard.

Disney to reinvent the theme park shopping experience with new mobile app - Shop Disney Parks

I thought you could have things sent to the front even before the app? We've never done it because they say to allow a few hours, and we tend to shop towards the end of our day.

Disney to reinvent the theme park shopping experience with new mobile app - Shop Disney Parks

No problem. The second store happened to be more convenient to where we were the second day, so it was very useful to know the same item could be found there. It was a bonus that the second store was also better for comparison shopping. It basically allowed her to take the time to think and...

Disney to reinvent the theme park shopping experience with new mobile app - Shop Disney Parks

Well, we were able to use it to enhance the fun... My daughter had seen a backpack she wanted, but it was expensive enough that she wanted to sleep on it before asking us to help with it. The next day, we used the app to find another shop that had it in stock, along with a better variety of...

'My Disney Experience' app update provides more PhotoPass features

What I've found with things like boarding passes and insurance cards is that I don't like handing strangers my phone. So I use the paper by preference, but I have it on my phone as a backup. Maybe not an issue if they have handheld scanners.

Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

I think part of the problem is that the safety restraints aren't like a hang glider's - they're more like an airplane's. And airliners have safety spiels. So they do an airliner theme through the spiel, and then magically switch to the hang glider.

DAK Why a Soarin' style attraction? Why not ... ?

If you're on the end of the row, and look across at the next bank of seats, you can clearly see that the entire bank tilts left-right. Your end rises as the near end of the next bank lowers. It's not big, of course, the film makers it feel bigger.

Disney to trial new allergy friendly menus at pilot locations this month

We saw this last week...my son has a very common allergy (peanuts and tree nuts) and on previous visits we have found that most of the menus were already nut-free (except for desserts), but we found it much simpler to have a safe menu handed to him than to go through the routine of having a chef...

Around here they often "disguise" them as flagpoles.
