Finding Nemo Musical - more details

My 18 month old has to watch Nemo every day. I can recite the movie by heart, now. I enjoyed Tarzan Rocks, but I'm looking forward to the new Nemo show. Also, Lion King had an attraction at every park for a while. Finding Nemo was as succesful as the Lion King in the theaters...

Siemen's And Disney.. On Board Together

I wonder what this may mean for future ride control systems for Disney. Many amusement park rides in the US use control systems from Rockwell Automation. Rockwell is dominant in the US, but Siemens is the big player for industrial automation and control systems in Europe. Could Disney and...

    Walt Disney World Timeline.

1984: The Magic Kingdom celebrates Donald Duck's 50th birthday with a daytime parade. The parade included a catchy song that still gets stuck in my head to this day. "Happy birthday. It's Donald's birthday. Happy, happy, birthday to you!"

    Gaining weight in Disney

We rarely eat 3 meals a day while at WDW. It's eiter a normal breakfast at the resort, some snacks during the day at the park, and then a big dinner at a sit down place. Or else it's a light breakfast, a big lunch, and a light dinner. I don't think I really gain or lost weight on a trip...

Amazingly dumb and sometimes funny things other guests say...

Yes, people get names wrong at Universal as well. My company has an annual show at one of the Universal hotels every year. Last year I went and the "experts" who go every year gave us theme park passes. They then went on to explain that you can go to "the movie park" or to Universal (meaning...

Wisconsin home builder tries to bring back 2D animation

Wisconsin home builder Tom Hignite, owner of Miracle Homes, has started an animation studio with 8 former Disney animators with the hopes of reviving hand-drawn animation. Miracle Homes is known for it's creative home designs that often include themed Disney rooms...

With EE comes AK full service dining?

I thought the Rainforest Cafe had some sort of contract that they would be the only sit-down restaurant at the AK. I always thought that is why there are no sit-downs in the park.

It would be between Haunted Mansion or Disneyland's Pirates. Of course Pirates would have to included the Blue Bayou, so I could get a Monte Cristo sandwich anytime I want.

    A "Tradition" of Closed/Unused Attractions?

1994 seems to be the year when everything started going down hill throughout Disney. (A coincidence that this was the year Frank Wells Died?). In the MK, a few things did close before then (Swan Boats - 1983, Walt Disney Story - 1992, Adventureland Veranda - 1993, ), but look at what closed...

    May 5 Announcement Rumor

Based on internet rumors, could it be: MK gets Little Green Men Flying Saucers Epcot gets a new country or redone Spaceship Earth MGM gets Indiana Jones Adventure AK gets Journey to the Center of the Earth And in my dream world, a monorail expansion to all parks and DTD.

    Fast Pass: Good or Bad?

The other downside of Fastpass is that it makes the parks feel busier. When people get a Fastpass, then they're not in line. Instead, they're in the walkways, restuarants, shops, etc. So the parks feel busier, since fewer people are in the queues. This was more of a problem at Disneyland...

    New Princess Dining!!!

They took away my two favorite lunch spots, Akershus and Cindy's Royal Table. I'm bummed. I guess I might change my mind if I have a little princess of my own some day. But I will certainly be checking out the Pooh meals for my little 7 month old Pooh nut. :)

Soarin' Soft Opening Dates Announced (AP)

I've never seen an answer to this question. We know Soarin' will have Fastpass, but will Living with the Land finally lose its unneeded Fastpass during the current rehab? I would think so. Having 2 Fastpass attractions in that pavillion would be a nightmare for traffic.

Golden Age of the Magic Kingdom?

I would say 1994 was the end of Epcot's golden age. Before 1994, you still had the Odyssey Restaurant, Sunrise Terrace Restaurant, WoL was open and still rather new, Captain EO and the original JII, Kitchen Kabaret, Communicore, Double-decker busses in World Showcase, WoM, and Horizons.
