News Swan and Dolphin Tower Expansion - The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

Not knowing anything about the heights of the various balloons, is it possible they flew balloons at various heights just so they could see the heights to a certain point, even if they will not necessarily use them? Example, let's see a four story height, even though we are only planning two...

Fondest WDW memory from your childhood

I was 5 in 1972 when I first went. My favorite memory is of an attraction I barely saw. The only thing I remember about the Haunted Mansion was my father's knee. I was so scared I couldn't look. He was able to pry me off his leg long enough for the ballroom scene, but then right back to the knee...

Good Table Services for a solo Trip

Never done TS solo at Disney. However, from an 11 year career as a road warrior, eat wherever the H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks you want to eat if alone. Unlike others, I don't mind sitting at the bar (usually convenience and tv), but getting a table is a nice way to people watch and enjoy some quiet...

    So.... What's the point, MDX?

Only issues I had my last trip were plans not loading, but I believe it had more to do with wi-fi issues than app issues. When I shut off wi-fi everything seemed to go fine.

CBR Bus transportation ... how bad is it really??

If you have dining reservations to deal with, two hours is suggested. I wouldn't think so, but on my most recent trip we had to bust tail to get to the reservation a couple of times and we allowed 60-90 minutes. If you want to be at a park at rope drop, give at least an hour. Remember that you...

Next Year - Reserved Seating at Candlelight Processional - Maybe

Didn't want to make it too click-bait-y and apologies if this has been posted elsewhere or if this isn't the forum for it. I just finished taking a survey from Disney regarding the Candlelight Processional dinner package. It was in regards to them toying with the idea of assigned seating to...

    MK On Christmas Day

For me, it was one of those 'say I did it' things. The crowds are beyond insane. Main St is practically gridlock. Only advice I would give is watch the second parade - don't even think about the first one - for either the daytime or night time parades.

    Unforgettable Happens Campaign

Well - just the other night walking through the Pirates FP+ queue, turned a corner and had to avoid a recent personal protein spill. That memory will stay with me for a while....................:arghh:

    News New security measures

FWIW - I just returned yesterday from an 11 night stay. I was there just before and just after the metal detector announcement. I may be rehashing some of what was already said, but if you want to read what another pair of eyes saw.... Immediately noticed increased security even before any...

Two dozen Disney IT workers prepare to sue over foreign replacements

I have worked in IT for over 20 years. I have had to recently change careers because I could not compete with off-shore visa holders who could work for pennies on the dollar. I saw first hand how one of these loopholes work while consulting at a major credit card company. Every other week we...

    Hoop-Dee-Doo

Two thumbs way up!!! Show is hilarious, food is good - just a great time!!! My wife and I make a date night of it by doing the HDD and then take the Holiday Sleigh Ride through the campgrounds.

CBR Bus transportation ... how bad is it really??

For starters, it all depends on what your definition of 'bad' is. But they truly are not as horrible as some people say they are. About the only 'negative' I can see is that you do have to wait several stops before leaving the resort or getting back. But again - it all depends on where you are...

    Its been good Disney World

This is why I recently switched careers. Outsourcing was killing opportunities for the consulting company I worked for. Now I am a BSA working for a company that recently went through an outsourcing. It is nothing new. I don't like it, but it is how it is. That said - I can understand the OP's...

MVMCP - Is the Christmas party worth it?

If you have never been to WDW at Christmas - then I say yes. It really is a fun time, Holiday Wishes is spectacular, and you get to see the Christmas parade.

    2015 Pop Warner Resorts

During the day - not really. You may see platoons of cheerleaders/football players at times, but they are at their competitions. At night, you might see more, but if they have games/competitions the next day, they probably have curfews. These groups are expected to treat this as a business...

    Drinking around the world advice?

Pace yourself - it's a marathon, not a sprint. Canada, UK, Germany and Norway have souvenir plastic steins you can a beer in (I wish the other countries had same/similar). I like the passport idea - I might try that for my trip this year.
