Voyage of the Little Mermaid is done, won't reopen with the parks.

Especially the “Almost There “ dream sequence and the fact that they spend so much time as frogs, with possible puppet interpretations in the black light style.

    Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Plans

I personally think FoF will run for another 3-5 years with the last year highly advertised. While I’m not the biggest fan of either film, I think that the lack of a full Frozen float or any nod to Moana shows the parade’s date. Of course, the parade celebrates Fantasyland, and I don’t think...

EPCOT Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

in Shanghai’s safety video, they show the (only?) omnimover in the park, Buzz, loaded. Roaring Rapids acts on a turntable, endless loading system too.

    Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Plans

I think it’s beyond unlikely that Disney will cut live entertainment forever. It is the saving grace for small children that cannot fill out a day with attractions, families with older members who cannot keep up with the hustle of a modern day at the parks, and families who come up SOL when...

EPCOT Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

This ride needs refreshes every 10ish years to avoid the fate of the Great Movie Ride, especially due to the timely decent. I am worried that if this gets kicked down the line too far, something we won’t like happens in another ten years. Otherwise, I wasn’t INCREDIBLY excited about the...

Sorry to say, the "Escape Room" idea is officially dead...

Once you reach any park, you can use most (all?) modes of transportation without a Disney Hotel reservation. All you need is to get to your first destination and from your last. The cost of that, I’m pretty sure, is FAR cheaper than than the inflated price of any Disney resort.

Sorry to say, the "Escape Room" idea is officially dead...

I think it is the fact that the “Disney Difference” of staying at an on-site hotel has become less exciting as other (cheaper) hotels have stepped up their game, ride-sharing apps have mitigated the perk of on-property transportation, and the fact that many of these hotel rooms have stagnated in...

Sorry to say, the "Escape Room" idea is officially dead...

It is a loss in that the S.E.A. interconnected universe, and the story of the Adventurer’s Club, will have to wait a good while longer before resurfacing. As a person who never got to see The Adventurer’s Club, I yearn for the days in which these characters might return and I get a taste of what...

    EPCOT EPCOT Overhaul poll

If Mary comes I’ll be elated. Now that the smaller learning-based interactive post-shows are gone from most attractions or don’t inspire people to waste time at them due to the FastPass+ system, smaller (but not unthemed) attractions are absolutely necessary for the park to maintain reasonable...

The Imagineering Story - Face-Projected Alice?

Apologies if this has been answered before, but does anyone know if anything ever became of the Alice figure featured in The Imagineering Story? She’s looking bewildered in the background of certain shots, blinking, and making facial expressions. Is this figure able to be found in any of the...

    Rumor Character greet changes coming

Perhaps they will have tableaux scenes of the characters, kinda like flash mobs, where the characters will be able to walk to a spot, have a “moment”, and then walk away while not actually having any human contact. Kind of like the Kylo “moment”, but for each character (Jack and whomever sword...

News OBJ Disney Acquires More Land Near Magic Kingdom

Good for them to take it just in case. Prices are probably cheaper now. And it also gives the fans something to chew on.

MK Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

The target audience for RnRC are currently OBSESSED with A Goofy Movie, The Emperor’s New Groove, and Hercules. If they were to do an IP, they would be smart to do one of those. If they called it “Powerline: A Goofy Coaster” or “Kronk and Yzma’s New Groove Coaster” (saving Herc for Greece in...

MK Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

I mean, I’ve been to it, the story is visually apparent - nearly all the buildings pulse with energy. I believe the video speaks for itself. The Well-Spring is also labeled as such on the park map (as an attraction, which is lame but whatever) and in the “Magic Passports” that reveal the stories...

MK Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

I’m confused about the question. The IP is Wreck It Ralph...? I’m surprised that they’re making an attraction about going into the virtual game world, then a Pavillion that is all about... the virtual game world... I really didn’t think the IP was strong enough to justify the two attractions...

MK Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

I believe the story of Tomorrowland in Shanghai centers around the Well-Spring, which is sort of a “source of magic“ that causes the rest of the land to spring forth from it. It functions similarly to the spirit gods that live in Adventure Isle’s Apu Taku, the magic that resides in the caves of...

MK Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

While I hate to be gloomy, if the attraction DOES indeed feature guest interaction (gaming, as would make sense for WIR), I wonder how it will be implemented. Guests love the shooter rides because everyone plays by themselves and against each other together in an easy-to-understand carnival...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

You're probably right, I trust you - My info is about two days behind. I believe, though, that in terms of all large public gatherings there is a temperature check at the entry points as well as a requirement throughout China that mandates the use of masks in public. I mentioned Starbucks as an...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

All I have to say is, in China this process took apxx. 2 1/2 months of quarantine to isolate the virus, with measures just now being taken to allow eat-in at places like Starbucks (which is essentially operating at half capacity to maintain distance). This includes the “draconian” measures...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

If/When Indy, BatB, and VotLM bite the dust, I can see a lot of the performers headed around WDW in the spirit of the pirate atmosphere test the did a few years back, the IncrediFans, or like Knott’s Berry Farm’s Ghost Town. Splitting the giant cast into groups of three or four would SEEM like a...
