Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

We’re fully vaccinated but have responsibility for elder care and exposure to young kids. I also have a risk factor. We’re at WDW now. It’s very possible to avoid indoor dining. We’ve done a lot of mobile ordering and have eaten at outdoor tables including poolside. Masks indoors are no issue...

Plan on EXTREMELY large crowds and SUPER long lines

I’m here now and it’s pretty darn crowded. We’ve tried a couple of times to head to F&W at EPCOT for dinner and most of the booths have lines 20 deep. The parks are crowded as well. But I would expect that to ease up in a couple of weeks with school starting in many places.

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

After waiting 1 1/2 years to go back after everyone except the kids in my family were vaccinated it appears that my bad luck has held. I guess we couldn’t have picked a worse time. We made these reservations about 6 months ago and are in a use or lose situation with points. We’ll mask indoors...

I’m on property now and just saw someone get asked to put one on to enter Boardwalk Community Hall. As I walk around the resort, I’m seeing a high degree of compliance.

hope you have a great trip gotta be honest, the indoor masking is a big relief to me since it forces the unvax’d to comply we had canceled most of our indoor dining reservations but may change our minds with this news this is our first trip since Mar 2020 so even hanging by the pool will feel...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Don’t see the vagueness myself. We’ve previously been given definitions of crowded, public, and indoors, plus he makes a blanket statement that if you don’t know people’s vax status, mask up. I think these only lack specificity to people disinclined to comply. That’s probably the underlying...

Then presumably if there is noncompliance and numbers rise, he’ll take the step to mandate. His track record indicates he’ll do what needs to be done.
