Why didn't The Little Mermaid ride turn out like this?!

It says a lot that most of us are commenting about the ride's great air conditioning...

    Jungle Book movie?

This problem isn't even exclusive to Disney, or theme parks & movies in general. It plagues the theatre community, as well. This is why shows like "Shrek" and "Legally Blonde" make it to Broadway alongside "Annie" being revived every few years. There are plenty of shows that go unnoticed that...

    Upcoming DHS closings ...

Agreed. It would probably end up being similar to the DCA version, which is an alright show but I don't want a clone of it. And with the upcoming Broadway production, and the cruise line, there's enough Aladdin. Tangled would be such a fun show, and the lantern scene has so much theatrical...

Single Guy @ WDW/ Solo Trip?

Lots of good things already being said here, but I'll just add that I am a young single guy, and I've been to WDW, DLR, and DLRP alone. My dad and older brother have also gone to WDW on their own. It can be really relaxing. Just go for it.

    Preparing someone for WDW

Just a selection of Disney movies that are heavily represented in the parks so that he will enjoy/appreciate their corresponding attractions. So like The Lion King, Peter Pan, etc.

    Preparing someone for WDW

Hmm...he's busy planning a trip in October for me to visit him in Switzerland (where he lives) and isn't involving me in the process at all. All I did was book a flight there. He won't even tell me what other country he's planning on taking me to for a weekend. I kind of wanted to do the same...

    Preparing someone for WDW

Haha love this story! My boyfriend also has a similar attitude to what sounds like your husband did before he converted to the Magic. He loves to make fun of how much I love Disney and when I mentioned character M&Gs to him he had a very good laugh and said that he wouldn't do it. He will, he...

    Preparing someone for WDW

I NEVER plan my trips. Mainly because they are usually very quick. I went to grad school in London, so I had an AP at DLRP and would just stop there for a day on my way back to the UK from other countries. I've also recently done a few weekend trips to WDW now that I'm back in the US, and I've...

    Preparing someone for WDW

Am I wrong to force him to spend more time there? He's mentioned before that he thinks he would enjoy Universal, so I was thinking maybe 5 days in WDW, 1 at Universal (I haven't seen WWOHP yet so that would be cool) and then we'd fly up to New York for a bit, where I live, before he makes the...

    Preparing someone for WDW

Need your best tips! I am in a (very) long distance relationship with someone who I met in grad school. He knows about my obsession with Disney and has been forced to go to the Brave midnight release with me, spend his Sunday afternoons watching Cinderella, and listen to me talk for countless...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

If you are doing the Jeff Galloway training programs, this week marks your first week of training! (On his schedule, your first run would be tomorrow.) I'm planning on using Jeff's training program, and I am very excited to start training for the WDW Marathon tomorrow morning! Anyone else using...

Anybody else excited about Magic Bands?

While I'm potentially disappointed (since I haven't experienced it first hand yet and I hate how everyone on this boards claim they hate something before even trying it...) that I will be limited in my FP strategy, I'm still kind of excited. I'm a huge fan of technology, and I think once this is...

Lapu lapu in a pineapple being discontinued?

I listen to the Disney Hipsters podcast and in a recent episode they mentioned that they were served (according to their water) the very last Lapu Lapu in a Pineapple. So hipster of them to get the last one ;)

Disney Theatrical Eyeing Muppets On Stage - Would LOVE this in DHS

Correct. However, if DTP didn't end up running with this idea, maybe TDO could scoop it up.
