Yeah, that's more of the job of the President of Discovery Island.

OP did mention that he/she has posted some false information to cover tracks. This could be part of it. I’m skeptical as well, but excited if true. Someone from TDO management coming here with insider information and answering everyone’s questions is pretty much what everyone here would like...

Would the MK theatre have been so much bigger than the Hyperion theatre in DCA? The Frozen show there is performed during the day and multiple times per day. Would the MK theatre have been so much different? I don’t remember reading that this was supposed to be a night time only show.

Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

I actually didn’t think too much about anything going wrong when we did these cable cars in China. Now that people were stuck at Disney I wonder how often this happens in the mountains. Some of these cable cars are pretty old too. We rode the car below at the Great Wall at Mutianyu that was...

Thank you so much for all your replies and information @Disnerd2003 👍 All your answers seem reasonable and plausible to me. I want to believe. 🛸 Ooh, mysterious. My guess is that it is Figment-related somehow. Maybe the path leads to the Imagination pavilion and/or Figment has a larger role in...

Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

We rode the Skyliner last night again and we still love it. Saw Epcot Forever fireworks from our cabin. I'm glad it's running again. Last month we flew back from Beijing with Delta and we were seated for 5 hours before our plane finally lifted off to start the 11 hour flight. We stood on the...

Thank you for a great thread @Disnerd2003 This is fun. 🙂 Will Jungle Cruise still get re-designs of the upcoming movie? Will the Muppets in Liberty Square ever come back, or are they gone for good? Where does the pink path in the Epcot redesign artwork lead to? Will there be IP in the updated...

Shanghai Disneyland September 2019 Trip Report & Photos

No, almost nobody spoke English, or extremely little. This was notable everywhere we went in China. Probably a little bit more English at SDL, but still very little. At one time we were at a Haagen Dazs in a large mall in Xi'an and there were two young women behind the counter. One of them asked...

Shanghai Disneyland September 2019 Trip Report & Photos

Drinking fountains are not as common everywhere as they are in the US. I didn't see them anywhere else in China outside Shanghai Disneyland. It's funny you say this. I live in Florida and a few years ago we had family from Europe visiting, including two kids aged 8 and 10. Drinking fountains...

    Next Gen Busses

That is interesting. I just read this article about a test of electric buses in South Florida, and the BYD buses did not get as many miles between charges as estimated, due to the heavy use of air conditioning. In China it can get pretty hot too ... but maybe they don't run the air conditioning...

News My Disney Experience and website to become the only way to make dining reservations

But people might balk at seeing $59.99 now, when it’s actually ‘just’ $42. In any case, it’s not nice to make people commit to a reservation without telling them the actual price. By the time you see the price at the restaurant it’s too late to cancel.

News My Disney Experience and website to become the only way to make dining reservations

I wish the website and app would show the actual price of character meals / buffets. For instance Tusker House currently says “$35 to $59.99 per adult”, which I believe depends on the season. That’s a large range. Could be $100 more or less for a group of four. The only times I’ve called the...

    What if Disney went dry......

I don't mind there being alcohol in the parks, but I am tired of the groups of people at Epcot with matching drinking / drunk t-shirts, like that's all they're there for.
