Trip Report Celebrate We Will (live-ish)

Same here. It’s so nice to be able to leave when you want to leave, and not be waiting 20+ minutes for a bus.

How Many Days for You? Part 12

Our family typically goes for 6 nights, and we build in one rest day. There is plenty to do outside of the parks - WDW has two mini golf courses (Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland), you can utilize Disney transportation to check out some of the resorts, and of course there’s Disney Springs.

    Reader’s Corner

We spent last week at the beach, so I have officially entered beach read season! I finished “One Golden Summer” by Carley Fortune last night, and loved it! It is a follow-up to her book “Every Summer After,” which I read last summer.

Just finished “The Breakaway” by Jennifer Weiner last night. I liked this one, but I can’t say I loved it. It involved the trope, which I am never a fan of. I wanted to love and relate to the main character, but honestly I found her to be unlikeable for much of the book. 😕

“People We Meet on Vacation” was her first, and ranks pretty low on my list. I’d recommend either “Funny Story” (last year’s release) or “Great Big Beautiful Life.”

I finished Emily Henry’s new book yesterday, and LOVED it! It may be recency bias, but I think this one may be my favorite of hers.

Personally I have to be in the right headspace to read her books. This one was tough, but I do think it’s worth reading.

Trip Report The Cold Never Bothered Us Anyway - December 2024

Thank you for reading! 220 days! Thank you! I can’t wait to hear about your next trip! Thank you! Hopefully it won’t take me so long to finish the next one! Thank you both! It’s hard to believe I’ve been writing TRs on here since 2019, long before I was pregnant, and now we’re about to have...

Trip Report Readers Chick Chat and Guy Gabbing Thread!

We live an hour-ish north of Atlanta, straight up I-75, so Chattanooga is an easy day trip for us. We love the Creative Discovery Museum, and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the Little Debbie park was as well!

Trip Report The Cold Never Bothered Us Anyway - December 2024

Final Thoughts Hotel: We love Pop Century - we're rope-drop to park-closing people, so value resorts work perfectly for our family, and you just can't beat the convenience of the Skyliner. Lincoln especially loved "the purple hotel" (our room was in the 50s section, so our building was purple)...

    Reader’s Corner

That's my next read! I plan to finish up my current Kristin Hannah book ("Home Front") and then I'll start the new Emily Henry. I had considered saving it until we're at the beach in a few weeks, but I just can't wait.
