It would be great to hear 2017, but I have to wonder why didn't they give an estimated date for the project if it would be that soon. What if we compare it to the new fantasyland announcement? When they showed the concept art for new fantasyland, did they also announce the year it would be ready?

To this day I have yet to ride a raft ride at any park that is better than the Popeye barges one over at universal. The ride is well themed and it's one heck of a long ride too :) It would be great if they could make something on par with popeye in the magic kingdom.

We are in the boat on this one as well. We stay just off property and get a rental vehicle and we are able to get from the house and into the parks and on rides faster than people that are on property. It's so much easier to drive vs take the buses from the resorts.

I agree this looks very cool. Ironically, while we probably won't see this sort of dual water fall on either side of the entrance to tomorrow land, it does look like they might be doing something similar with the new King Kong ride over at Universal :) The entrance is flanked with two heads...

I just hope when the time comes to replace the trace, they don't replace it with a shortened version. I love the unique layout of the ride. The way it's intertwined and all over the place is so neat.

It was like that when I was there last and I was really annoyed by it as well. (glad there are some mp3s of the music out there to get w/o that annoying dialog). It is quite ironic that they have the volume up for the saftey warning, but not for the music and sounds during the ride. Still...

I very much agree. Popeye is the best Rapids ride I have ridden ever. It's so long and when you think it' s over it keeps on going. Great ride great show and just lots of fun. I hope it stays.
