To be perfectly honest with you, I don't really like that style store...I think it's kind of boring. I couldn't really tell that it was a Disney Store, if I wouldn't have known that it was a Disney Store, I would have thought it was just another store in the mall. I much prefer the stores here...

Which store do you work at in New Jersey? I'm at the Lehigh Valley mall store in Allentown, PA.

Regardless of what happens, since we were purchased by TCP, all of us are still Disney CMs regardless of what other people think-we all still work for Walt.

Thank you very much for writing that. Many Disney Store CMs only hear bad things and it's so nice to hear somebody wishing us well. I heard that it's going to be 6 weeks until the stores that they are going to be closing are announced. It's going to be a long 6 weeks.

They are closing some stores, but not 1/3 of them.

Disney overextended themselves by opening too many stores. That was where the problem began. With them saying that they would close 1/3 of the current stores, that would help with that problem and make the stores more of a destination rather than at every mall.

I just got a phone call from the store managers regarding this information. From what I heard if Disney does buy us back, they will close 1/3 of the stores. I'm hoping since we are a high volume store and do very well that we won't be one of them. My fingers are crossed!

I LOVED Cinderella's Surprise Celebration! It was the Castle show that was playign during my CP so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Dream Along with Mickey reminds me a LOT of CSC, which is why I think I like it so much. I doubt Dream Along with Mickey will go anywhere too...

I think Walt would want the CMs paid better. Also, I think he would play a more active role in all of the theme parks and probably would have never built some of the overseas parks. It's hard to say though...

I am also surprised that WDW didn't get a Build-A-Bear...the one at DL is very popular. I was so excited to build my bear when I was there. Who knows...maybe one day it will happen!

You have to have the right connections to get some of these autographs. :animwink: Either that or know somebody special. I got quite a few rare autographs when I was working in entertainment. :)

It can change from day to day who actually makes appearances in the park...even sometimes hour by hour. The more popular characters will take precident (sp?) over the less popular characters. Although there is a set schedule everyday, characters can be pulled from location to location...
