There are no resort-to-resort buses so you have to travel to a park (in this case AK as it would be the closest park) or DS and pick up that resort bus there. You could also drive or take Uber/Lyft/Minnie Van.

I've never been on Christmas Day but have on Independence Day and New Year's Eve and it is insane. Park generally closes at some point during the day for capacity limits and lines are ridiculously long (3 hours for PoTC). On the other hand it's something you might want to experience at least...

Laying in my hammock with a good book and a cold Arnold Palmer on a cool Florida winter's day. (But let's be honest...nothing is "free". I had to buy the hammock, use gasoline to drive to the library, buy the ice tea/lemonade for the AP and pay for the electricity to freeze the ice.)

This is exactly why we go here at least 2 times a year...to get away from everything and unplug. We check in, get some groceries and don't leave for 4-5 nights.

You could shorten the route if you built the MK station south of the bus stations instead of to the west of the monorail station. The route would then also be over very little water.
